GLASSKIT - female - snow leopard - tags - played by athenii
"speech"
Since Glass had nothing to compare her behavior to, she didn't quite catch on to how disconcerting it could be. She'd spent most of her short life in a cage. Having no chance to play or interact with her siblings, let alone time with her mother to learn how to behave, had left the sickly cub with a very closed off demeanor. She demanded attentions be paid, but she was not going at it with the intent of cuteness. She simply did not want to be alone; though this most certainly did not mean that she was going to be all soft and cuddly.
Whatever trauma had caused her closed off demeanor went further than just first impressions. Glass didn't just act disconnected, she was disconnected. This was a fact that could be heard plainly within her voice as she went to respond first to Medusa. "I do not wish to speak as to why I am alone. I will, however, disclose my requirement of a place of residence." Her tone was clipped, matter-of-fact. She had little understanding of the use of emotions, perhaps another side effect of being alone, and thus saw no logical reason to inject them into her speech. She did note the female's name, as well as her odd form of speech.
Prior to being able to actually state her interest in Elsweyr's speech patterns, another approached. This female spoke more plainly - softer, gentler, and not nearly as interesting as the previous stranger's. "My name is Glass. Although, based on my observations of your customs, Glasskit may be more suitable." The cub spoke smoothly, barely twitching her ear as she revealed her name. "Technically, I was waiting for you. Not you specifically, of course. I was waiting to be invited across your, uh, invisible line. I understand it is customary."
