The centurion’s right ear twitched. Ugh, now the bunkum circlejerk started? Gross. He rolled his eyes and tuned out the growing conversation. Discussions about weather and licking the paws of ‘wronged’ parties didn’t interest Quasar in the slightest.
Stifling a yawn as Kold approached him, the sparkledoggo quirked a brow at her.
“Pretty funny talk about passionate alliances, coming from a Pittian. Pretty sure you lot helped the Typhoon against the Coalition for the same reason we did—self-preservation and looking out for your own interests.” His pink tail flicked as he shrugged. “Only difference between us is that we actually had something to gain from an alliance with ‘em. You and your soft-spoken leader might’ve made the same decision, if your bellies gnawed the muscle off your bones.”
Quasar shrugged. He didn’t give a shit on whether that was a diplomatic answer or whatever—he spoke as bluntly as he liked, and didn’t care to try to minimize or lie about why the Palm Glades’d done what they did.
