These guys had to eat somehow, though he usually took to hunting on his own time. Either that or he mooched off of Jacob's pasta. It was always nice to catch a fat, juicy mouse once in a while though. Right now, he wasn't quite feeling up to the task. "Y'know I would tag along, Toots, but I'm pretty comfortable right here." The tuxedo tom replied to Melantha, having been sitting up against a wall and splayed out in a lazy fashion.
A few seconds later, he checked his paw as if he were wearing a watch and commented, "'n look at that — that took me 'bout three seconds." He poked at her, referring to how she chose to gave them all a whooping five minutes to decide whether or not they wanted to go. The answer was pretty obvious for him, as he'd probably get quite the cold-shoulder from Melantha if he even considered it. It was clear that the mountain lion didn't like him, but would that stop him from trying to get a rise out of her? No. That never stopped him before, after all.
