SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
In most cases, Roan was a voice of reason. He was rational and patient, and he tried to avoid conflict as much as possible, mainly because he had seen the harsh effects he could have firsthand. After all, why would a medic want to have more injuries out in the world? However, this was only the majority of the time. The majority of the time, no one was threatening those that he considered family, or trying to sow doubt in their interactions and happiness. This was the minority of the time, and Roan could feel the anger bubbling up inside of him in response. Perhaps his short fuse was because of Jaime's passing, or perhaps it was a mixture of that and the fact that he now considered Diya to be family. While he had originally been uneasy about the relationship between she and his mama, it had become clear that they made each other happy, and he had come to approve of it. He didn't want her going anywhere, and he certainly didn't want some rando that had decided to crash the gathering trying to act like they knew her. They didn't, and he knew it. She'd never mentioned them, and he hadn't even seen them before now, despite having interacted with Elysites in the past.
All of this added up to the soothsayer finally just... snapping. He had made a valiant effort not to cause any sort of scene – despite the clear hostility in his prior warning – but Hani and Alani's haughty natures were the final straw. He barely realized what he was doing before he stepped forward, power crackling through the air as he aimed to launch an arcing bolt of lightning forth from himself, trying to carve a path over [member=16141]hani and alani.[/member]'s shoulder and down their spine. Whether or not he was successful, he would still grit out in a snarl, claws out, "Don't you dare talk about Diya that way. She chose to join The Typhoon, because Elysium wasn't good enough. And just because some random two-headed assholes decided to take over doesn't change that fact. So, kindly fuck off, or there will be more where that came from." The male couldn't even begin to imagine the scolding he would get from his mama after this, but he found he didn't much care. Hani and Alani deserved it, and Diya also deserved to have her name not be dragged through the mud, especially considering she couldn't even be present to defend herself.
