IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME
[align=center]TO MAKE A LITTLE BETTER

IT'S ONLY GOING UP
JUST ONE THING THEN ANOTHER
lovekit — the typhoon — tags
Story time. It was an activity in Lovekit's life that hadn't lasted for particularly long, although he had enjoyed it quite a bit. He had loved hearing the stories of might, magic, and wits, and had particularly loved when said stories involved his mother, or the grandfather that he had never gotten to meet in person. Unfortunately, it had become harder and harder for Goldie to tell him any kind of stories after Sam's death, his mother far too absorbed in her own grief. Lo couldn't say he particularly blamed her, considering he knew he wasn't taking his mama's death very well either, but he'd be lying if he said he never missed it. Sometimes, he only missed it for the way that his mother's face would light up when she was telling a particularly exciting part, or the way her eyes would gleam when she talked about Pincher, or something else The Typhoon did. He missed the proud smile that would curl on her muzzle, and the way that she would seem to animate, even through the tiredness. Honestly, he just missed her smile in general.
The young hybrid had been deep in thought when Foamkit's story time ended, tail flicking behind him and a frown of contemplation on his face. He didn't like thinking of Sam's death long, considering it brought up a pained feeling in his chest. Thankfully, Foam was around to pull him out of it, this time with a rather large and flamboyant activity. Lo's head snapped up as soon as he heard Foam's faux "roar," and his green eyes grew wide with excitement. It seemed as though the other child was aiming to play a game, and Lovekit was more than willing to participate, even if he needed to be careful – after all, he didn't want his larger size leading to any injuries. With this in mind, the boy got up to his paws, racing towards Foamkit and aiming to paw playfully at the other's side and shoulder, batting at him. As he did so, he said in a rather extravagant tone of voice, "Don't worry everybody! I'll protect us from the big scary monster!" It was pretty hard to take Foam seriously as any kind of monster, but Lo had a pretty active imagination.
