Here you are and you’re all you wished to be ( silver tabby ; one month ; palmclan kitten ) You’re alive and you're not alone Had one be ventured to inquire over the pass time that silver hued kitten deemed favourite a single answer may be expected — storytime. Once delegated to times when the soothing lull of caretakers voice may quell any last thoughts about staying up any longer than he had been allowed instantent had he grown over it being a more frequent occurrence, necessary a spontaneity that may allow such. To a close drew another highly demanded story with a tired, breathless little laugh as observed the wide eyes brimming with wonder, gently mouth closed with back of a paw. From stupor was he shaken yet no chance for further plea was allowed, words cut off before they may form. "I think that is enough for now, mister, go no, why don't you go play." The desire to overrule her decision lingered even as he was directed out of the fortified den, harsh the sunlight he blinked from stinging eyes once he was left on his own. Plenty were those he may convince to play, yet the notion soured rather quickly. About did his eyes move until a pile of pelts drew his attention, cleaned and prepared as extra bedding for all too quickly was winter in creeping closer. To he he scampered with a lop-sided grin, apart pulled the nest pile and from within extracted the coat of what once was a rabbit. Small as the creatures typically were smaller still Foamkit and, with assistance somewhat reluctantly given, it was draped over him. "Raah!" There was nothing terrifying about the squeaky high pitched call he voiced as he stumbled along with the pelt dragging in the sand, at times forced to stop to push back that which fell over his eyes. All the same apparent the joy the supposed big bad wolf derived from his little game, some of the warriors even playing along if only to keep him entertained and out from under their paws for a little bit. code by Reggan Re: ( the big bad wolf | open ) - lovekit. - 09-12-2020 IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME

lovekit — the typhoon — tags Story time. It was an activity in Lovekit's life that hadn't lasted for particularly long, although he had enjoyed it quite a bit. He had loved hearing the stories of might, magic, and wits, and had particularly loved when said stories involved his mother, or the grandfather that he had never gotten to meet in person. Unfortunately, it had become harder and harder for Goldie to tell him any kind of stories after Sam's death, his mother far too absorbed in her own grief. Lo couldn't say he particularly blamed her, considering he knew he wasn't taking his mama's death very well either, but he'd be lying if he said he never missed it. Sometimes, he only missed it for the way that his mother's face would light up when she was telling a particularly exciting part, or the way her eyes would gleam when she talked about Pincher, or something else The Typhoon did. He missed the proud smile that would curl on her muzzle, and the way that she would seem to animate, even through the tiredness. Honestly, he just missed her smile in general. The young hybrid had been deep in thought when Foamkit's story time ended, tail flicking behind him and a frown of contemplation on his face. He didn't like thinking of Sam's death long, considering it brought up a pained feeling in his chest. Thankfully, Foam was around to pull him out of it, this time with a rather large and flamboyant activity. Lo's head snapped up as soon as he heard Foam's faux "roar," and his green eyes grew wide with excitement. It seemed as though the other child was aiming to play a game, and Lovekit was more than willing to participate, even if he needed to be careful – after all, he didn't want his larger size leading to any injuries. With this in mind, the boy got up to his paws, racing towards Foamkit and aiming to paw playfully at the other's side and shoulder, batting at him. As he did so, he said in a rather extravagant tone of voice, "Don't worry everybody! I'll protect us from the big scary monster!" It was pretty hard to take Foam seriously as any kind of monster, but Lo had a pretty active imagination. Ever lingering within shaded edges, base concept defined yet the finer details laid upon foundation left in a constant state of change. For even such loose that occupying young mind, a notion elusive, personified in false shapes decorated with ebony cloak. Possibly best preserved the dwindling innocence derived from lenses hued in rose, yet poor the construct of bridge, a wooden affair creaking beneath each forward step. He had seen the aftermath, knee the glassen stare and manner muscle grows rigid, chilled the flesh upon which he denied. Yet alike were they, mother taken if more cruel and violent the end Lovekit had been unfortunate witness to that which took without care. Far such from mind that whirled and danced between shifting focal points, across fine grains others moving in graceful bounds, more clumsy his own momentum. Momentary the still, world slanting and thought arose that trod upon that which trailed behind before contact registered, light the press, removed only to be followed by another. Startling his fall, though soft the landing he experienced, ensnared in loose flaps all that may be seen paws that flashed opaque claws. Only the skin felt brunt of such, however, rough the push back of that obscuring vision and against countenance was worn childish anger. "Lo!" Clean wiped features with the bubbling rise of short lived wonder, replacement a grin that grew only wider as about did he twist. Tedious the task of freeing him from clinging pelt, obscured once brown strands beneath clinging grains, alike adorned the coat beneath. Untempered the radiant joy with which Foam regarded the other even for such, worked between the strands until skin prickled with growing irritation, once more voiced a rather poor imitation of a roar. Returned favour as forth launched the little 'wolf', attempt made to headbutt the leg of the hybrid as he had not so long ago before beneath him did Foam scramble, awkward his gait yet loud the laughter he could not seem to stop as he made a hasty retreat. code by Reggan Re: ( the big bad wolf | open ) - lovekit. - 09-23-2020 IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME

lovekit — the typhoon — tags Lovekit was filled with a momentary sense of panic, bright green gaze gone wide as Foamkit managed to collide with the ground below him. His fall was cushioned by the sand that constantly acted as flooring beneath those within Palmclan, as well as the furs that he currently wore on top of himself, but Lo couldn't help but feel worried. The Typhoon kit had taken his own fair share of falls in his life, and he knew that they could range from relatively minor to downright awful, especially if one managed to hit their funny bone or anywhere similar. He found himself stepping forward cautiously, the hybrid's voice apologetic as he muttered, "Foamkit...? Are you alright?" Gone were thoughts of excitement and playtime, instead replaced with a responsible sense of worry. The young hybrid still wasn't old enough to understand things like ranks and the responsibility of tasks just yet, but his mother had taught him not to hurt others. He knew that if Foam ended up upset, then he would apologize. Goldie might not have been around to scold him, but he didn't need that incentive to feel bad about one of his actions. Thankfully, it didn't seem as though Foamkit was out of commission for very long, nor did he seem particularly irritated by what had occurred. When the other turned to him with a grin of excitement on his muzzle, Lo found himself smiling right back, his whiplike tail wagging enthusiastically behind him. He watched as the other struggled against the pelt that he was enveloped in, a soft snort leaving Lovekit before he opened his mouth again. He missed his chance to speak, however, before Foamkit went charging forward, colliding headfirst into the young hybrid's leg. Lovekit let out an exaggerated shout of surprise, falling back on his haunches as he muttered, "Oh no! The wolf got me! However, Lovekit had a sneaky little plan up his sleeve. As Foam began to scramble beneath him, Lo tried to grab him gently by the scruff, falling onto his belly and trying to trap the other. If he succeeded, he wouldn't come down with all of his weight, not wanting to hurt Foam in any way. Instead, he would just try to keep the other in place, saying in a singsong tone, "But the wolf also fell for my trap! You'll never escape my fluff!" Their little "battle" certainly wasn't realistic, but it was keeping those around them fairly entertained. |
