Georgia had grown rather accustomed to seeing animals and clan members with odd variations. It seemed to be that Roxanne's family had the strongest genetics, with very nearly all of their roots adorning horns and wings. Georgia hardly saw the appeal of the horns, and the wings just seemed a bit bulky and bothersome most of the time. If she had them, of course. She always had the pleasure of being launched into the air by her own wind abilities - though she'd never tested how far and how high she could go. A couple yards at most was all that she had attempted.
Based on the genetics of the Roux family, Gia had begun to assume that if she met someone unfamiliar within the clan who had wings, they were likely a Roux. It was a bit of an unconscious thought, and nevertheless, if she was corrected, she would probably be surprised.
But on she trudged, feeling particularly tired; her mind was in no specific place other than heavy, sleepy and because of it, Gia kept losing track of what she was doing. Hours could pass in this state and all she would do to pass the time would be to struggle to stay awake, and it would occupy nearly the entire afternoon. She knew that a short time later, she would look back on the time and not have a clue what she was doing.
However, at some point, an unfamiliar voice drew her attention, startling her just a bit. A quick spit of wind rustled the sand as she jolted, somewhat shaken from her stupor. Not far from her was a lion, though she found his mane moving oddly in a breeze that she hadn't created; forcing herself to blink and slap her own conscience awake, Georgia realized that they were leaves attached to his back. How interesting.
"Hey." Georgia offered, approaching them. He looked to be about her age, though possibly older - lions were larger than domestic felines, so she had no good reference. "I'm Georgia, and I don't think we've met before...so guess the name change will be easy." She shrugged, trying to steal another glance at his mane while being discreet so she could confirm her suspicions. "Why did you change your name, though?" The sandy feline asked, her mouth running on its own accord so she had a reason to study his odd elemental appearance. She noted his wings, and absently wondered if he was a Roux as well.
