what are we- new body, reemergence - brandykit - 08-03-2020
Pregnant. The word thudded in his ears, pounded in his brain. The son of the captain hadn't much more information then that, besides that they were happy. Was he meant to take it in a good way, or a bad way? Yay, I'm a brother. Fuck, I've already fucked up everything I ever knew as a brother. Brandy had turned on his paw, taking a long, and he meant long, walk on the beach. Couple of days kind of walk. Lost in the woods like Michael kind of walk. But, just as Sea did, Brandy turned up at some point- and this time, he wasn't just walking around. No, he was flying. The freshly aged apprentice landed on the beach, shaking out his feathers. The lion stretched his body, the leaf mane dark orange and reds in color, waving in the gentle salt-wind that came across the beach. He looked left, right, then towards the collection of homes, padding in that direction. His body was.. oddly more fitting now- stronger, muscled, toned. The lion's pelt on him looked good, the albatross-shaped wings stretching before folding to his sides. Some would even say it was a ghost of a far older member. Goldie would know her by name, but, alas, he announced- "Hey guys its.. it's Brandy. My name is.. Elduin now." He called aloud as he sauntered into camp, his eyes nervously skipping left and right. Who would remember him? Would his mothers kill him? Find out next time on Total Drama Island. "SPEECH" Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - GEORGIA. - 08-03-2020

*・゚✧ / BETA / 08 MONTHS Georgia had grown rather accustomed to seeing animals and clan members with odd variations. It seemed to be that Roxanne's family had the strongest genetics, with very nearly all of their roots adorning horns and wings. Georgia hardly saw the appeal of the horns, and the wings just seemed a bit bulky and bothersome most of the time. If she had them, of course. She always had the pleasure of being launched into the air by her own wind abilities - though she'd never tested how far and how high she could go. A couple yards at most was all that she had attempted. Based on the genetics of the Roux family, Gia had begun to assume that if she met someone unfamiliar within the clan who had wings, they were likely a Roux. It was a bit of an unconscious thought, and nevertheless, if she was corrected, she would probably be surprised. But on she trudged, feeling particularly tired; her mind was in no specific place other than heavy, sleepy and because of it, Gia kept losing track of what she was doing. Hours could pass in this state and all she would do to pass the time would be to struggle to stay awake, and it would occupy nearly the entire afternoon. She knew that a short time later, she would look back on the time and not have a clue what she was doing. However, at some point, an unfamiliar voice drew her attention, startling her just a bit. A quick spit of wind rustled the sand as she jolted, somewhat shaken from her stupor. Not far from her was a lion, though she found his mane moving oddly in a breeze that she hadn't created; forcing herself to blink and slap her own conscience awake, Georgia realized that they were leaves attached to his back. How interesting. "Hey." Georgia offered, approaching them. He looked to be about her age, though possibly older - lions were larger than domestic felines, so she had no good reference. "I'm Georgia, and I don't think we've met before...so guess the name change will be easy." She shrugged, trying to steal another glance at his mane while being discreet so she could confirm her suspicions. "Why did you change your name, though?" The sandy feline asked, her mouth running on its own accord so she had a reason to study his odd elemental appearance. She noted his wings, and absently wondered if he was a Roux as well. © LEXASPERATED/APRICOT

A Roux. That was correct, in a sense- there were more Rouxes here then Georgia perhaps accounted for. The Captain herself, had borne the once tawny colored child- no, now the lion leaf maned child known by the name of Elduin Roux wasn't less of a Roxie child and much more of a Goldenluxuries child. But the first that came to greet him, which, perhaps, gave him a small sense of unhappiness, was Georgia. Less unhappiness at the sight of Georgia and moreso at the lack of his family- Mom, Momma, Seakit, Ry.. He huffed gently, but came to a stop as Georgia approached him. He scanned the smaller being with a twitch of his ears. That's one hell of a sleepy cat. A soft, amused look crossed his muzzle, his golden pelt awash in light as he shifted his wings. "Nice t' meet you." He said, shifting his legs to a settled point. Of course, her eyes shifting about at his body didn't go unnoticed. He briefly raised his eyebrows, shifting his wing and brushed some leaves settled back down straight. But her next question made him hesitate, and slowly, he shrugged. "I didn't feel like my last name fit me. That's all." He said quietly, his tufted tail swaying behind him. He inhaled, then softly exhaled, tilting his head and stepping just a bit closer as he prompted his own question to Georgia. "How long have you been here?" "SPEECH" Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - T. ROUX - 08-04-2020 [glow=white,1,400]BUT THEY'VE WRITTEN MY NAME IN THE STARS. I'VE DEALT WITH GREED AND SCARS !。+゚.[/glow]
Approaching slowly, Trygve Roux would perk both of his tufted ears forward and couldn't help but let a snort escape his maw. It had been a long while since he had seen Brandy or well, Elduin now, the anxiety he had before of facing the other from before having died during their time apart. He would part his jaws to speak with a nonexistent eyebrow raised at the other "'Bout time you decided to show your uglyass 'round here again." There was a pause, they weren't entirely kids anymore... No, they were teens or something of the sort, much older and had different plans though... Trygve Roux still wanted to see that Pittian vixen even if Elduin would never approve of it and Ry still didn't care since he knew that Aine was very much different from all her clanmates. He was very much in love with her, smitten. Being away from her made his heart ache horribly and well, at the moment, his heart was definitely aching quite a bit but the draconic boy did his best in ignoring it. "It's good to have you back, shithead." He would eventually say with a slow nod of his cranium, his eyes shifting away from the lion and flicked his tufted ears back until they brushed against his head. What else was he supposed to say or do? It had been so long since he had seen the other and well, it was good that he had come back just in time for his new siblings. And Trygve wasn't eventually the most touchy feely type of person... Sure, he had his moments but it didn't seem like it right now. He was unsure of how Elduin felt about the two of them anymore especially after their fight, he couldn't even look at the other long recalling the injuries he had inflicted. He eventually said with empty laughter "Give a pal some warning next time, won't ya?" [glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - natyli r. - 08-04-2020

Somewhat of a sore topic. Afterall, being linked to Ry as she was, Natyli suffered through much of the bitterness, anxiety, and pain that came from that tussle. Of course, those feelings had subdued a great deal with time and the little chimera only grinned as she spotted the lion.

Family was family. Hopefully they'd get along, even with their differences. Her mitch-matched hues blazed with mischief as she practically launched herself at the other, though it was done with clear playful intention, paws aiming to lightly push the larger feline. "Elduin?" "That sounds cool." © MADI Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - GEORGIA. - 08-04-2020

*・゚✧ / BETA / 08 MONTHS Georgia, utterly oblivious to his disappointment in his family not being the first to greet him, swung her tail idly as she openly studied his wings and mane. Her eyes flickered in the direction of his face when he resettled the leaves against his neck, and she finally noticed the dubious expression he had. "Sorry," She apologized, though she didn't sound terribly apologetic. "For staring. Never seen a lion with leaves for a mane. It's a cool look. Kinda aesthetic." At his response to her question, she shrugged. "Names don't always fit. That's fair." She honestly had no clue why her father named her Georgia instead of a classical Greek name, since that would have made the most sense. A fleeting thought crossed her mind - maybe he was trying to distance her from her heritage. The consideration saddened her, but it passed just as quickly. "I've been here for like...a week and a half, I think. Not really counting." The somali sighed. Should she be keeping track? When Trygve approached, Georgia automatically shuffled out of the way. Next to a lion and a jaguar, she was kind of afraid of getting trampled. Then came Natyli, whom Georgia had never seen before in her life. "What, are you all related?" She asked, features scrunching as her gaze flicked between the three. © LEXASPERATED/APRICOT
Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - Grimm - 08-05-2020 A mere case of the wrong place at the right time, her placement as a bystander one that drew with it certain dangers. Exchanged in prior moments a promise readily broken, frail she against either though children had they been, the eddies of rage erupting within a show of brutal force. As best she were capable forgotten the instance, the driving factor that left hasty words to puncture unwelcome departure, in turn they three each gone, alone walking a path necessary if daunting. Yet her body may not allow such, time kind in tending the burnt flesh, yet deeper had it run.
Brief the halt she staged, from the resting place against her back span of wings opening, accompanying the roll of shoulder. Of the returned had she known little yet together had they weathered flames dancing against their skin, charred reminder of previous indiscretion. It was as such, when upon the salt laden breeze his voice found harbour in ears drawn forth straining to catch anything else, her trajectory was shifted in accordance. Different the beast that shed his prior name, not within favour for the next as brother had done, but something new and solely his own, family still even for this. Hesitance marked the approach Eulia conducted, behind lingering as Trygve and Natyli took to him as though moths to a flame, her own halt drawing her level with Georgia. "Our cousin." All she would say upon the matter for now, to Elduin himself would she leave the decision to voice his lineage, that which connected them as much as the one that slumbered beneath the waves did. IF MY LIFE IS GOING
TO MEAN ANYTHING,
I HAVE TO LIVE IT
MYSELF.
tiguar . young . he/him Seapaw had spent a lot of his time since returning either hovering over his pregnant mother or exploring the island, seeing what had changed while he had been gone. Suchh explorations had brought the tiguar forward, along the beaches sand shores. He heard a voice, its rhythm familiar but tone unknown. It was not until the words registered in the neon felines mind that he realized his brother had returned, though under a new name. Swiftly, paws slapped against the sand, almost a mirror of when he reuninited with his mother. "BROTHER!" his voice would echo across the beach as he thundered towards the group. He would dodge those gathered, aiming to shove his front paws against his brothers chest and flip him over, standing over him. If he was successful, he would give his head a shake, his own leaves rustling as he does. "I missed you so much!" he corws as his massive shark tail slaps against the ground. "Looks like we both changed!" Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - michael t. - 08-05-2020
LIKE THE MOON SAYS TO THE DARK — It would've been pretty difficult for Michael to forget Elduin, even thought the two of them weren't particularly close. Ever since he had truly become a substantial part of the Typhoon, and had grown used to all of his new family, he had tried his damnedest not to forget anyone. Sometimes it was difficult, especially considering how far out the Roux family tended to stretch around the Typhoon alone, but the thief like to think he had done a pretty good job. So, when Brandy had essentially gone missing, it had been hard not to notice. Both because of his own memory, and because it caused Trygve to be even more of a little bastard than he already was. To Michael, Trygve was as easy to read as an open book, so even though he had known that his apprentice and nephew had several different things on his mind souring his mood, he had known that Brandy's – now Elduin's – absence had been part of that. He was glad to have the kid back, both for Trygve's sake and the sake of the entire family, since he had to imagine that Goldie had been worried sick as well – even if it was much harder to read her. Padding over to where Ry was standing, the bobcat lifted up a paw, gently cuffing his nephew around the ears as he snorted, "Ay, don't call your cousin a shithead. He could've gotten lost like I did, ever think of that?" His tone was challenging, but also mostly playful, since the fugitive found it difficult to ever truly be mad at the boy. Turning his mismatched gaze then to Elduin, Michael offered up a toothy smile, forgetting how unnerving his vampiric fangs could be, even in a friendly gesture, "Hey there... Elduin, was it? It's good to have you back, although I'm pretty sure you can already tell that." The reaver found himself chuckling a bit at the way that Seapaw threw himself at the other, obviously delighted to see his brother again. When he was younger, Michael probably would've found the joy difficult to relate to, considering he hadn't had any siblings. Nowadays, however, he knew he would've overjoyed if it had been Roxie that was returning – actually, he had already been, as demonstrated by when she had gotten back from the Pitt. He hadn't been able to be quite as boisterous with his happiness, however, considering the temporary leader had returned in much worse shape than when she had left. — WE WILL NEVER BE APART Re: what are we- new body, reemergence - trojan g. - 08-06-2020 [glow=#000,1,400]FAR WORSE THAN LIONS AND BEARS, SHE'S CURSED WITH VISIONS AT NIGHT — 。+゚.[/glow]
It seemed as though there were more and more people that Chickenbone had yet to meet, and it seemed as though due to his own little adoption into the family, they were related in one way or another. Ears pinned to the head of the small squirrel as he looked towards all the larger creatures around him, watching as they laughed and joked and asked questions. One day I want to be big like them. Chicken found himself thinking as he looked upon the scene. He'd be big like them, predator like them, and laugh and not have to worry about getting stepped on or accidentally eaten. "Welcome back, I think?" He would reach out with the words in his mind, allowing all those around the area to hear him, "And I like the new name... don't think I knew you before as the old one though, seein' as I'm kinda new." A talking squirrel would have been memorable. [glow=COLOR,1,400]speech[/glow] |
