LIKE THE MOON SAYS TO THE DARK — If Michael had known what Georgia was thinking about his approach, he probably would've burst out into laughter just as Roxie had been tempted to do. Despite his relatively high position in the group hierarchy, and his somewhat – emphasis on the somewhat – well known nature, he wasn't the type to go around attacking people. Stealing from them? Sure, back in the day he had been more than happy to size someone up for whatever they had that might be valuable, from the very moment that he first saw them. However, for one thing, he was fairly sure that Georgia had nothing on her, besides her small and raggedy form with fur sticking everywhere. For another thing, although he was still very much a thief at heart, he tried to make it a habit not to steal from joiners, or even those who could be potential joiners. He wasn't particularly enthusiastic about the thought of Goldie kicking him to the next continent for getting in trouble. For once, Michael actually had very little ill will in approaching someone, although hearing her weary and vaguely threatened tone certainly surprised him. A soft snort left the bobcat when he heard her, shaking his head from side to side, "I wouldn't really call it a city, or really a secret, but you're far from alone on this island." The main town of the Typhoon alone had a not insignificant population, and that wasn't even mentioning the myriad of groups that existed on the mainland.
It was after this that the girl denied him her name – only if she provided him with hers, first. He couldn't say that he didn't admire her caution, even if the thought of giving his name out still caused bubbles of anxiety in his chest. He was far from the big name fugitive he had once been, but whenever a new face arrived, there was always a small part of him that wondered if perhaps they hailed from one of the many groups he had once wronged. It was part of the reason why he had used his alias when he had first joined, although that had slowly been tossed aside as he had become more comfortable with The Typhoon as a whole. The bobcat let out a little grunt before he opened his muzzle, about to introduce himself, but was interrupted by the arrival of his sister. He nudged Roxie back when she arrived, and found himself beginning to snicker when he saw the horror that flashed across Georgia's face, especially when Roxie began to throw herself into an explanation of how everyone in the Typhoon grew horns and wings. It was utterly ridiculous, and also just enough to make most if not all of his apprehension give way to amusement.
Giving Roxanne a bit of a harder bump with his head against her shoulder, Michael said with a little snort of laughter, "That was just cruel. What kinda temporary captain goes around spooking potential joiners? I'm definitely telling Goldie." His small tail twitched as he smirked at his sibling, eventually turning his mismatched blue gaze back to Georgia and the matter at hand. Giving her a nod, he piggybacked off of what Roxie had said, his eyes lingering on the sand that surrounded the young feline, "Like she said, I'm Michael. Michael Townley. Good enough for ya? She gave a better explanation of the Typhoon than I could probably ever hope to, so..." He trailed off, only to tense slightly when the sound of heavy footsteps filled his ears. Immediately he looked behind them, his eyes going wide when he saw Ament. He could still remember Lucifer arriving with his little pack of "children," but that didn't make the other's arrival any less unnerving. After a moment of hesitation, he turned back to Georgia, "Ah, and this is—" He tried to think back to the names that Lucifer had provided, eventually finishing, "Ament, I believe. I don't think he's gonna introduce himself." Maybe they should start warning people, if they were going to have massive feral dino beasts wandering around. — WE WILL NEVER BE APART
