LIKE THE MOON SAYS TO THE DARK — As ridiculous as it sounded, it wasn't exactly unusual for The Typhoon to find various creatures washing up on their shores. It almost seemed as though more potential joiners ended up showing up through the sea, rather than from the more practical spot of the gate. Michael couldn't say that he had a particular problem with it though, as weird as it was. The only reason the thief had really cared when someone arrived from the waves was because of the salty scent of the sea that clung to their pelt when they finally came ashore. However, after so many months living within The Typhoon, that same salty scent clung to his pelt constantly, even when he hadn't been swimming at all. He had no real right to wrinkle his nose anymore, considering the scent of the ocean and the scent of The Typhoon would forever be linked. Much like it seemed as though this newcomer and the sea were inexplicably linked, although Michael was sure there was some kind of special explanation. It was hard to be surprised by anything seemingly magical, not when their currently injured leader held such power.
The bobcat watched from afar as the waves crashed against the shore, seemingly trying to cling onto Georgia as she hauled herself up onto the warm sand. After a moment of hesitation, the reaver finally moved away from his home, short legs making surprisingly long strides in order to get over to the other feline before she did anything hasty. Michael wasn't sure he had seen Ahab in quite a long time, but he still didn't want Georgia to go wandering around on Typhoon territory and have someone snap at her. That wasn't even beginning to mention the fact the she seemed... young. Very young, practically only just out of kithood. It reminded the thief of his nieces and nephews, and he immediately wanted to protect her, even through the feeling of frustration that filled him when he noticed that, even at her small stature, she wasn't that much smaller than he was. Roxie was definitely going to tease the hell out of him for that, if she ended up. coming over as well – which he was sure she would be, considering her new position as temporary captain.
After a moment of looking over the sea soaked youngling, Michael cleared his throat and began to speak, small tail twitching behind him, "You'd be surprised by just how many of us there are..." He found himself wondering if Georgia knew about the larger island they were connected to, or any of the other larger groups. If she didn't, that would certainly be a surprise. Pushing that from his mind for the moment, he shook his head before continuing, "You look a little worse for wear... could I get your name? You're on the territory of the Typhoon, and if you'd like some shelter, we can provide. Well, provided you're friendly." His opening speech was a little awkward, but honestly that wasn't much of a surprise. Despite getting promoted twice now because of his activity and helpfulness, he still felt a little out of place, welcoming other people in and putting himself out there. — WE WILL NEVER BE APART
