[div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — The ringing of the bell had become a rather familiar sound to Roan, who lifted his head from where it was ducked down, sticking herbs into one of the alcoves of the temple. Glancing back at the piles that he still needed to sort, the draconic feline sighed a bit, deciding he would finish his task up later. Welcoming someone new – or dealing with an ally – would probably be a welcome vacation from his sage work, and hopefully have him refreshed enough to continue on without issue. Shaking out his cream pelt, Roan headed out of the temple, flapping his wings and following after the scent of his mama and younger brother, both of whom had no doubt gone to already see who had rung the bell. It wasn't long before he landed a bit behind them and Keona, coming up on the opposite side of his mother and brushing their pelts together in greeting. He also offered her a tired smile, trying to reassure her that she was alright – he knew well that she got anxious when he was working in the temple for long periods of time.
Turning his attention to the newcomer, his ears perked up when he heard Fakhira's explanation of why she was there, reflecting his interest and surprise. She was here to see Aphra? He hadn't known that Aphra had a sister. He supposed they had never really talked much about family together before, however. He still considered Aphra to be a close friend, but really, most of his discussions with her entailed him patching her up after she did something stupid. Despite this, he still felt it was his duty to know why Fakhira was there, stepping forward a bit before he spoke, "Like Keona said, Aphra is still here... but what do you want with mi amiga? Are you just here to visit her, or is it something else?" It was a fair enough question, considering Aphra had been hurt by her family in the past. Roan had to patch her up after Caesar had hurt her while she was visiting him, although the sage had never actually figured out the cause of that injury. He had wanted to ask, but his own polite nature had prevented him from doing so.
However, it seemed as though Roan would not have to worry for long. He jumped slightly when Aphra's voice cut through the air in a hiss, the apprentice quickly turning around to face her. Hearing Aphra's harsh tone made the boy wince, yet he still found himself drawn towards her, quickly moving over to her side. Brushing his wing against her, he tilted his head and muttered softly, "Aphra? What did she do? Is she dangerous?" A large part of him wanted to support Aphra without question, since the pure white feline was his friend. However, another part of him wanted to give Fakhira a chance, considering he knew what it felt like to hurt others in your family unintentionally. Perhaps this was a case like when he had lashed out with his powers, and Fakhira hadn't meant any harm? Perhaps Aphra felt hurt over a situation that was all just one big mistake?
