RUN RABBIT RUN // visitor - FAKHIRA CIPHER. - 06-02-2020

To say Fakhira was nervous about this was an understatement.

Should I even be here? Do I even want to see her? These were the main thoughts that were going through the grey she-cat's mind as she headed towards The Typhoon's gate. Her steps were sluggish and slow, almost as if she were dazed or drunk. The last time Fakhira had seen Aphra was when her sister had chased her off... Would Aphra even want to see her? What would happen? There's no going back now... No, it was far too late for that, wasn't it? Fakhira swallowed the fear that was rising in her chest, reaching up to gently touch the bell. She winced at the noise, flattening her torn ears, her body tensing up at it.

God, this was pathetic. Why was she tensing up at the mere noise of a bell? There was one part of her that was screaming to get away, that the bell alerted Aphra to her presence (which she assumed wouldn't be a lie), while the other half wanted to be with her littermate again. It's been... years since they last saw each other; surely Aphra would have changed her mind by now?[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

JAIME ROUX
"vengeance is just hope with a history"
another day, another toll from the bell sounded across the territory.

And again it seemed Jaime would be the first one here and much like the last time, he wandered from the undergrowth with caution although she looked somewhat similar to one of their own, if darker toned - dubious still, he meandered closer, watching as the stranger seemed tense

”Can I help you miss?” he asked quietly, slitted green eyes watching the blue eyed almost shadow of Aphra, not that he was aware of the relation yet.

The Reaver heard the ringing of the bell and rose from where she had laid on the beach, she was taking small breaks but whenever she felt like she was going to finally take a bit of a nap there was the ringing of the bell. Whether it be visitors, joiners, or a pair of merchants, Roxanne would always ride up to her paws. It wasn't long before Roxanne appeared at the scene and would stand beside her son with both of her ears perked forward, there was a bit of a resemblance between Fakhira and Aphra though she simply shrugged it off and would offer a soft smile to the stranger. With a twitch of her whiskers, she would take a seat and curl her tail around her paws, Jaime had already asked a necessary question and Roxie didn't feel the need to speak as of right now. Every feeling in Fakhira's bones were screaming at her to run, but she knew that it would be useless now, with the bell having been rung; it would draw Typhooners around, and if she fled, it might look bad. "Ah, y-yeah, um. My name is Fakhira," She replied to Jaime, her gaze briefly flickering to Roxanne as she came over. "I'm looking for my sister, Aphra. Is she still here?"[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

If I fall, get knocked down, pick myself up off the ground
Reaching the bell had grown to become a challenge.  The tiny wildcat hardly knew where she could put her paws down now thanks to the meteor impact.  Her tail twitched behind her, ears perking with curiosity as she caught up to Roxanne and Jamie.

The nervous voice that answered seemed to looking for Aphra.  While she had encountered family on the border many times before, it hardly came as a common occurrence.  Lightly, her head tilted to the side before answering in her own soft voice, "she's still 'ere."

Waiting around for the sister to appear however, hardly appealed to Keona.  Pale hues flickered as brows creased.  "Would you like us to take you to the bay, or wait 'ere?"  One of them could probably track Aphra down, after all.

"No need." Aphra's voice came behind Keona in a hiss. The she-cat had arrived on the scene, just in time to hear Fakhira ask to see her. Anger filled her at the sound of her littermate's voice; she was almost insulted that Fakhira had the gull to look for her. Disgusting. Aphra maneuvered her way to get closer to the gate, her lips peeled back in a snarl and the fur on her neck bristling.

Fakhira looked the same when she left her three years ago; small, pathetic, weak, and scarred. At least she seemed to be well-fed, Aphra supposed. She's better off dead. It was better than worrying about another god damn mouth to feed. And one who didn't like to pull her own weight, either. "Leave, Fakhira. You are not welcome here."[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Re: RUN RABBIT RUN // visitor - roan ; - 06-03-2020

[div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — The ringing of the bell had become a rather familiar sound to Roan, who lifted his head from where it was ducked down, sticking herbs into one of the alcoves of the temple. Glancing back at the piles that he still needed to sort, the draconic feline sighed a bit, deciding he would finish his task up later. Welcoming someone new – or dealing with an ally – would probably be a welcome vacation from his sage work, and hopefully have him refreshed enough to continue on without issue. Shaking out his cream pelt, Roan headed out of the temple, flapping his wings and following after the scent of his mama and younger brother, both of whom had no doubt gone to already see who had rung the bell. It wasn't long before he landed a bit behind them and Keona, coming up on the opposite side of his mother and brushing their pelts together in greeting. He also offered her a tired smile, trying to reassure her that she was alright – he knew well that she got anxious when he was working in the temple for long periods of time.

Turning his attention to the newcomer, his ears perked up when he heard Fakhira's explanation of why she was there, reflecting his interest and surprise. She was here to see Aphra? He hadn't known that Aphra had a sister. He supposed they had never really talked much about family together before, however. He still considered Aphra to be a close friend, but really, most of his discussions with her entailed him patching her up after she did something stupid. Despite this, he still felt it was his duty to know why Fakhira was there, stepping forward a bit before he spoke, "Like Keona said, Aphra is still here... but what do you want with mi amiga? Are you just here to visit her, or is it something else?" It was a fair enough question, considering Aphra had been hurt by her family in the past. Roan had to patch her up after Caesar had hurt her while she was visiting him, although the sage had never actually figured out the cause of that injury. He had wanted to ask, but his own polite nature had prevented him from doing so.

However, it seemed as though Roan would not have to worry for long. He jumped slightly when Aphra's voice cut through the air in a hiss, the apprentice quickly turning around to face her. Hearing Aphra's harsh tone made the boy wince, yet he still found himself drawn towards her, quickly moving over to her side. Brushing his wing against her, he tilted his head and muttered softly, "Aphra? What did she do? Is she dangerous?" A large part of him wanted to support Aphra without question, since the pure white feline was his friend. However, another part of him wanted to give Fakhira a chance, considering he knew what it felt like to hurt others in your family unintentionally. Perhaps this was a case like when he had lashed out with his powers, and Fakhira hadn't meant any harm? Perhaps Aphra felt hurt over a situation that was all just one big mistake?

Right, fuck, of course her crewmates would want a reason. Aphra tried not to show her irritation at Roan's question, given that if she had the right frame of mind in the moment, perhaps she would want to know the reason as well. That, and she was a nosy little bitch. "What did she do?" Aphra echoed, voice her voice to be shaky and sound hurt, glancing back at Roan, Roxanne, and Jaime with a hurt expression, trying to get pity out of them.

"She... killed our mother," Aphra spoke in a low voice, gritting her teeth together as if trying to prevent herself from crying. She threw her head back to glare at her littermate, flattening her ears. "Isn't that right, Fakhira?" Obviously, she was trying to make it seem like she was lashing out in grief and anger, but truthfully, she was trying to manipulate Fakhira into obeying her. Unfortunately, Aphra didn't exactly have the mental abilities to do it telepathically, nor make her sister obey that way, but she knew that Fakhira was too cowardly to act back, especially when she was around. That's one thing you're good for. Aphra bitterly thought to herself. Being a little servant.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

"Isn't that right, Fakhira?"

Fakhira stared at her littermate, in shock at what she just heard Aphra accuse her of. She blinked at Aphra, hurt by her words, but the icy glare that Aphra was giving her reminded her of their father. It was unnerving and Fakhira turned her head away, pinning her ears at the back of her head. "Yes... Yes, I killed her." She spoke softly, closing her eyes and preparing for Aphra to lash out at her for speaking in such a quiet tone; luckily for Fakhira, though, the gate separated the two - though that definitely didn't stop Fakhira of being reminded that Aphra could kick her ass if she wanted to. If not outright kill her herself.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

JAIME ROUX
"vengeance is just hope with a history"
it seemed he wouldn’t have to answer, though given he hadn’t got to know Aphra as well as his littermates and older siblings likely had he’d have had less luck locating her to inform her.

Though all things told it seemed he wouldn’t have to - so he settled for watching the back and forth quietly, at least until they seemed to get to the heart of the problem.

‘She killed our mother’

His ears pinned back and unconsciously the cub shifted closer to his mother and older brother, feeling a lot more wary - and inwardly horrified at the idea that anyone could do as such, though he couldn’t speak for what their family was like, to have reason to do such (was there a reason even?) - the wings that mantled around him at rest shifting against his back, unsettled.
