If Gordon was able to hear Safflower's thoughts, she likely would have left the scene right than and there. Her stammering was something she didn't like and didn't quite understand why she talks that way, but it made her sound insecure and indecisive - which... doesn't entirely a lie. Luckily for Saff (or unluckily, given his thought of her), Gordon didn't hear his opinion of her.
As for why she came to the Knights...? Well. That was a simple answer, if not something Gordon was embarrassed about. "I-I just didn't want to be apart of another big group," She admitted, realizing how stupid and selfish that sounded. Safflower's reasoning was understandable and was partially a reason for Gordon as well, as evident by the fact she seemed to cling to others, but it was mostly due to her previous groups no longer around and her afraid of joining a large group and having responsibilities thrown on her again. At least with a smaller group, if she were to somehow be promoted for whatever reason, thing should be more manageable. Or that's what she believed, anyway.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:･ﾟ[/glow]
