☆ HUNG PICTURES OF PATRON SAINTS UP ON MY WALL TO REMIND ME THAT I AM A FOOL. TELL ME WHERE I CAME FROM, WHAT I WILL ALWAYS BE: JUST A SPOILED LITTLE KID WHO WENT TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL —
Aurum had been slightly surprised by the choice of weekly task he had been assigned by Selby. Scrapbooking was an activity that the angel had never tried before, but that didn't mean he was just going to write it off, especially considering how many memories he had to collect. Just considering his time within Tanglewood alone, the proxy had seen many odd or important events pass by, and had met so many people that it was difficult to keep track of them all. So, having one – or more than one – book that he could keep his memories sealed away in, perfect for sharing with others or looking back on down the line? It seemed pretty perfect to the lion, who had given Selby a smile and a nod before he had headed back to his home, eager to gather supplies. He didn't have everything within his home, but he at least had a few things that he could put aside for thus particular venture. Items that held a lot of value to him, emotionally. He was careful not to make too much noise as he moved around his large house, not wanting to disturb Kaito or Roy, and anything they were doing – if Roy was even around, he hadn't seen his son in quite a while, despite his searching. The thought made his heart ache, so he pushed it away, briefly shaking his head before continuing the hunt.
After his gathering of trinkets was completed, the male left his home, seeking out everything else he would need. A notebook, something to cut with, glue, some decorative items. All if it was fairly easy to find after a raid of Feza's area. He had intended to ask her permission before he took anything, but she, much like Roy, hadn't been seen in a while by the proxy. He similarly shook that off, trying not to let himself be weighed down as he returned to his home. This was meant to be an activity to remember and celebrate the past, not get depressed and dwell on those that were gone. There was plenty of time for that in his room, when the sun sunk below the horizon and he was left alone with his thoughts.
The next several hours for the lion were spent on his porch, cutting paper, – with a bit of difficulty thanks to clumsy paws – gluing various bits and pieces, and letting pages dry. He had very few actual pictures for the scrapbook, considering the few he did have were from a nigh ancient battery powered camera that could print pictures on the spot. Aside from a few blurry pictures, the proxy had also tucked away a pressed flower from Roy, his old necklace from Poet that the other had dug through the swamp to find for him, as well as a piece of ribbon from Kaito that he assumed was from the other's costuming. He drew little pictures of the various members of Tanglewood on certain pages as well, although they were rather clumsy due to his lack of drawing experience and difficulty handling a pen with any sort of finesse.
In the end, he had a product that he was fairly proud of, and he was sure it would make him happy in the future, but it was still missing something. Something he intended to fix right away. Moving down from his porch and into town, the angel put the scrapbook down in front of him before he called out, "Hey, does anyone have anything they want to put in my scrapbook? I don't want it to just be a history of me. I think I'd like to have it sort of be a history of Tanglewood as well, since this place means so much to me..." It was a sappy request, of course, but it was Aurum. Sappy was practically his middle name.
