[font=trebuchet ms]In spite of the ever-present fog in her brain dampening her enthusiasm, Rin couldn't hide the way her ears perked at the discussion of spies, London and hoaxes. The strangers at the border couldn't have been from around here, unless they were playing a very elaborate prank on anyone who happened to be listening. Alternatively, she supposed it could just be her own mind making up the existence of Russian agents for some ulterior purpose... but she couldn't conceive of any rational reason to do so.
Whatever. So long as neither of them were murdered at the border, she could find out more later.
Approaching the German Shepherds, Rin nodded her head slightly in greeting. After looking past them at their surroundings, and confirming no one else was around, she turned back to them and asked, "What brings you two to Elysium territory?" The bizarre nature of their conversation reminded her of the seven creatures that showed up at the border right after she took over- now that she thought about it, maybe the talk of "pellet values" had been a code of its own.
