movement of the earth | double-joining - Konrad - 04-07-2020 "Vostok 1." The German shepherd was sitting at what he assumed to be the border of a civilization. Animals lived here, and even he would admit that he just could not survive alone. It was extremely lucky to find traces of scent in a mountainous region of all places. At this point, he'd hunker down anywhere and then focus on what was going on and how he was going to live his life now. "Vostok 1." He repeated to his comrade — eh, friend; no, companion? Acquaintance would do. She was a similarly colored German shepherd whose heavily masculine features proved to confuse Konrad. "All I'm saying is that how do we know if it was a hoax? They uncovered spies in London a few months or so before that." Konrad enjoyed his conspiracy theories, especially if it were to piss off Katyusha. They had only just met, thrust together by fate, and if Konrad had better foresight, he would have worried about a fight on the border wouldn't be a great first impression to whatever new group he was going to appease to. Her icy gaze flickers to the other German Shepherd, the one that she'd been working with, only to survive. If it was for anything else, the masculine-looking female would have kicked him against a door or the like. Still, she decides to be civil with him, ears slightly steering towards him, showing that she'd been listening. "Ah, saying it was a hoax, da?" She asks, tail flicking behind her before staying idle. She manages to hide her rather annoyed look, though a roll of the eyes escapes her composure. "Hm, ignoring that spies thing for right now," she was obviously gliding over his point, "Part of it was televised and there was a radio call. Unless you think the televised part could have been fake?" Katyusha asked, tilting her head slightly, reaching a paw up to fix her collar. "all it does is empty my hands" —-- katyusha / elysium / german shepherd Re: movement of the earth | double-joining - Warringkingdoms - 04-08-2020 [font=trebuchet ms]In spite of the ever-present fog in her brain dampening her enthusiasm, Rin couldn't hide the way her ears perked at the discussion of spies, London and hoaxes. The strangers at the border couldn't have been from around here, unless they were playing a very elaborate prank on anyone who happened to be listening. Alternatively, she supposed it could just be her own mind making up the existence of Russian agents for some ulterior purpose... but she couldn't conceive of any rational reason to do so. Whatever. So long as neither of them were murdered at the border, she could find out more later. Approaching the German Shepherds, Rin nodded her head slightly in greeting. After looking past them at their surroundings, and confirming no one else was around, she turned back to them and asked, "What brings you two to Elysium territory?" The bizarre nature of their conversation reminded her of the seven creatures that showed up at the border right after she took over- now that she thought about it, maybe the talk of "pellet values" had been a code of its own. Re: movement of the earth | double-joining - charactercemetary. - 04-09-2020 Hm? A cat. Tis a shame that said cat was not Russian. She and Katyusha would have much to talk about then. She seems rather neutral. Especially for having spoken about a theory that quite actually derply insulted her. She blinks. Black and white? How interesting. She takes in this new person before them, before coughing to clear her throat. "Ah. Hello, I am Katyusha. Gospazita, my... acquaintance here, Gospodin Konrad and I are here to join," she replies, briefly pointing the other sable shepherd. [div style="opacity: 70%;"]6 subscribers Conspiracy theories were honestly beyond Videogames -- he didn't really get the point. Presumably, this was because of Videogames' own ... unique raising. Artistic endeavors were pointless, anything unproductive and nonfactual were wastes of time. Quite frankly, whatever it was that they'd been on about when Videogames came into earshot was .. confusing. London, spies? Television? What sort of place was London? It's better not to worry about, he thinks. "Well ... Alright! Welcome, both of you!" Unremarkable, generic. Don't mention their strangeness, don't question the acquaintance thing -- did they just happen to be heading the same way? The serval ducks into view, not entirely sure how to tread -- he didn't exactly have a manual for how to talk to people, much less anyone so outside of the bounds of anyone he already knew. "I'm, uh, Videogames! We'll .. bring you to camp if you want, do you guys need anything else?" Generically friendly. Right. Category:

To this day, Felicity didn't understand the fascination with .. weird human things. London? That was a human city, right? Far away from them? Who cared? She didn't get it, and, if she were made aware of Felix's naivity on the subject, would probably have argued that it was for the better. Felicity comes bounding after her brother's steps. He had a habit of just ... sitting and listening for a minute before actually approaching, which was weird. She'd take the charge herself, but if she took her eyes off of him for one minute, she was absolutely certain something horrible would happen. "Excuse me, what the fuck were you guys on about just a minute ago?" She cackles, prancing onto the high ground and promptly half-perching on her brother, front paws heavy on his back. She receives one of her first acknowledgements of her presence -- just a glance, the slightest twitch to his face, too quick for her to read. Interesting. "I mean, listen, welcome or whatever, all that jazz, I'm Felicity, but really," She half-falls from her perch, entirely unintentional, landing on her paws with hardly a stumble, brushing her side against Felix's as she trots by, restless. Wow, real, genuine weirdos. Suppose this is what they got for allowing literally just anybody to join. Re: movement of the earth | double-joining - fulzanin - 04-10-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] The flutter of wings announced Clony's arrival. They were big, for a bat. The conversation that it vaguely could hear as it approached left it absolutely confused. That wouldn't stop Clony from coming over to investigate. Awkwardly the bat would flutter over, landing just as awkwardly upon reaching the ground. Its silver legs were a little sturdier than most bats, allowing it to stand up - even if its wings still had to be used to hoist up most of its body weight. Hoax. What a funny word. Some of the other words that it had heard were equally as weird, but Clony assumed that perhaps the lingo of this place was odder than it had appeared at first glance. "Hi," Clony chided in its usual mental manner. Hard to talk with a mouth that didn't quite move in the right way - not that Clony had ever known any other way to speak than mental communication. How else was it supposed to speak in tight nit situations where it had only a split second to communicate what needed to be done? A bushy tail twitched behind the bat, dipping its head a little. "I'm Clony. What're your names?" Their ears wriggled, curious, hoping that they'd been heard. This whole external broadcastsing thing was quite difficult for it to master. Clony would prevail, of course, even if it stumbled along the way. Especially with those with stronger mental barriers. That made communication quite hard. More unrecognizable animals, more confusion for Clony to also overcome. It pushed the thought aside, their pearly white eyes staring ahead curiously at the newcomers. TAGS 3/17/20: Re: movement of the earth | double-joining - Konrad - 04-12-2020 Conspiracy theories were fun to chew around with, but Konrad never kept them for long. It was like a brain exercise, and especially more fun when he was using it to piss off Katyusha. He snapped out of it for the sake of being professional. It wouldn't take long for him to become accompanied and comfortable with the situation and change his behavior to one more relaxed. There wasn't much to say and actually Konrad was visibly shocked at how easily it was to join this community. It put him off-guard and he found himself looking dumbly at Videogames, unable to say anything. Luckily Katyusha had introduced him, so he didn't need to say anything. His mouth parted finally, "Yeah, that'd be nice if you co —" His ears pulled back at Felicity's rather blunt exclamation. He studied her for a while, the muscles tensing under his short sable fur. "Nothing that concerns you, unless you want your brain melted by the intelligence services. I would have given you a tinfoil hat if I still had them." Konrad focused on the next Elysite to appear, a creature that he had never seen before and was quite certain they were pulled out of a science fiction book. Something told him he wasn't on Earth anymore. The fur along his spine ruffled when Clony spoke in his mind. He refused to look startled, because he didn't want to be taken for a weak person — he really wasn't, he was a military-grade policing dog! But he really did wish he had a tinfoil hat right now. "Don't know how to communicate through my mind, my good friend, but in case you didn't hear the East dog over there —" He gestured to Katyusha. "My name is Konrad, and she's Katyusha." Re: movement of the earth | double-joining - Warringkingdoms - 04-14-2020 [font=trebuchet ms]Ah, so they were indeed here to join. She supposed that much was fortunate- odd though they were, they'd fit right in with the other Elysites. Nobody here fit any particular definition of normal. Turning over to Videogames and Felicity as they approached, and Clony soon after, Rin twitched her ears. Case in point. Felicity's blunt inquiry- Rin was beginning to sense a pattern- lacked subtlety or tact, but Rin had to admit she was curious too. Looking back at the other two to gauge their reaction, she couldn't hide the way her eyes widened and brows raised as Konrad spoke. After a moment, she adopted a neutral expression and scoffed lightly, mostly at herself. Of course that had been a joke. No one would say such a thing seriously. There would be no melting of brains, by Konrad or anyone else. Making a mental note of the exchange, however, Rin finally shook her head. "I'm Rin," she said, tugging at her scarf with one paw. "And we have both a sea town and a mountain camp. You're welcome to stay in either of them for as long as you like, but to become an official member you have to swear in at the next meeting." |
