but don’t make me show you i got nothing to lose —
Evarhi wasn’t looking for a dad, he wasn’t looking for a mother, a father, a friend, a brother, a sister, or even an accomplice. He was looking for a place to call his own and within tanglewood he had found this tiny little place.
Although he could be seen interacting within the group, Evarhi preferred to be alone in his empty and barren home. There wasn’t anything in it but it was his. This alone was more than what he had back in his homelands. The thing was, when Ev was alone he wanted to remain so until he decided otherwise.
So Aurum’s knock was far from welcomed. Not that he was doing anything highly important other than chewing his paw or gnawing on some bones. Either way it did surprise him and the boy despised being caught off guard. Huffing he would walk across the room, his paws kicking leaves and whatever dirt that managed to make its way in.
His ears pinned against his head as he stood by the door deciding if he wanted to open it. There wasn’t any harm if he did... it’s just Aurum had been there when Beck has scared him. That was a very embarrassing moment for the little dragon.
Grunting he would bite into the rope he had tied around the door nob and pulled it to open. His eyes narrowed, “What do you want?”
One thing was for sure, Evarhi desperately needed flying lessons. His wings only ever grew larger and larger every day and dropped farther and farther down from disuse. He wouldn’t admit it, but they often ached from their awkward position and he had trouble holding them up for long.
