Oh, jeez. He didn't really expect people to persist -- was it just that people had blindly trusted his judgement, then? Are the people here just sorta ... like that? It's not like the black looks much like blood, after all. .. Granted, if Videogames came to the theory on his own even with the awareness it had been red, it's not that far-fetched to assume other people without context would assume so. He probably should have cleaned it off better.
He really needed to investigate this better.
"Guys, I'm pretty sure I'd know if my blood was black," Videogames laughs off without missing a beat. Which is true. There's no logical reason for Videogames' blood to go from red to black during his absence, anyways. Lemy had already given some suggestions as to what it could be, in any case -- better to just hope people take his lead.
"No pain or discomfort, nope!" It's better to go along with it. Pushing people away would just make them suspicious, after all. And he's not lying, in any case. Videogames knows better than that. What's the point of medics if you're just gonna lie whenever you're hurt? As long as you weren't -- weak about it, it was fair to be hurt. That was what Arrowhead had said.
"Uh, yeah, sure," A pulse check seemed like a little much, but if it made her feel better, Videogames wasn't opposed. Pulse checks were on the neck, right? He thinks it's at a normal rate, but it's not like Videogames knows what that is, exactly.
"I'll do my best!" He chirps to Lemy now, maybe a little belatedly. He tolerates Lemy's pat with all the grace he can muster -- which is a lot more than one would think, considering that the first time Lemy had touched him, Videogames had nipped him. Videogames didn't feel anything, now -- which means it's really his duty to make up for that nip by literally not responding in any way. Mildly suspicious? Yeah. Better than faking a grimacing or making a sign of weakness obvious, even if it was something in the past, just for consistency's sake? Also yes.
