AURUM
DO NO HARM BUT TAKE NO SHIT !

Aurum was... not a great cook, admittedly. One couldn't really blame him, considering the fact that he had grown up in a pride full of lions that weren't exactly known for their cooking. For the most part all of them just chowed down on any prey they could get while it was raw, and that had been good enough for Aurum for quite a while. Nowadays he knew how to cook a little bit, but he never did anything spectacularly
fancy. For the most part, all of his cooking just involved taking a piece of meat and dangling it over a fire until it looked brown, rather than that usual raw pink. However, that felt... well, like a little bit of a cop out, at least in this case. He didn't want to show up at a potluck with just a big piece of cooked meat and call it a day, as much as he was sure some people would've been fine with that. So, instead, he had spent the entire day preparing something that his family's heritage was known for. One fact that most people didn't know about him was that his family was English. He no longer really held the accent that most of his family had once had, but he did know some of the older recipes they had all enjoyed making, and he knew one that had tasted rather delicious to him when he was a cub and it had rarely been served to him. That particular dish was fish and chips, and it thankfully hadn't been as much of a disaster to cook as he had originally thought it would be.
It had been a little bit of a challenge, getting all the oil that he needed to cook not only the fish as well as the potatoes for the chips, but he had managed, with just a little bit of help from some of his friends over at the tavern. After he was done, the kitchen area of the tavern had been left in an absolute state of chaos, but he had promised that he would clean in up after he returned back home – although it wouldn't surprise him if it ended up being the following day, considering he expected to be exhausted by the time he reached his large swampland home. Hopefully because he was partying and having fun with a bunch of the Typhoon crew members, rather than because he was frustrated or exhausted from a bad day out. Either way, Aurum found himself flying into Typhoon territory carefully, heading for the bay with a basket full of fish and chips. The smell was tantalizing, and there had been more than a few times on the way over where he had been forced to stop himself from just eating it all on his own. Thankfully he had made it, and he landed heavily on the sand before long, padding over to one of the tables that was set up and heaving the basket up onto it. Once his dish was away from his eager jaws and oversensitive nose, he allowed himself a look around, taking in the blankets scattered all around and the beautiful sun reflecting off the ocean in the distance.
Smiling a little at the warm and cozy nature of it all, the proxy of Tanglewood let his eyes roam around until eventually they came upon Goldie, the leader looking awfully pleased with herself for her event planning skills. He couldn't say that he wouldn't agree with her on the quality of the whole thing, and he soon found himself padding over, warm smile and all. With all the stress going on in his regular life as of late, it was nice to just take a break and get away from it all for a while, and he intended to thank the tigress for giving him the opportunity. Gently bumping a shoulder up against Goldie's as he sat beside her, Aurum chuffed affectionately, watching as some of the Typhooners arrived and settled, "Hey Goldie. This place looks pretty damn nice, you did a good job setting it all up... I hope you pirates still like fish, because I worked my ass off cooking subpar fish and chips for you guys." He offered Goldie a toothy little smile as he said this, his eyes tired but twinkling with amusement. He found himself wondering, briefly, if there would be drinks at this thing.
