Aurum wasn't stupid, and he definitely noticed the way that his brother's eyes went down to the scar, staring at the twisted and rough pink flesh. He almost snorted at the way that Poet ripped his eyes away with some effort, evidently scolding himself internally for being so rude. A faint smile came to his face at the question, and he found himself glancing over at Roy's empty bed, mumbling, "It's... nice. It's good. I like having someone to take care of. Roy... he's a good kid. I just wanna make sure he has a good life. I wanna make sure he's protected, and happier than we... happier than I was when we were kids. He's my son, and I love him. Seems simple enough to me..." He then let his eyes linger on Poetking's face, one blue eye focused intensely on both of Poet's. He let out a dry little chuckle before he continued, amused and tired, "I know that's not what you really wanted to ask though, Poet. You're not subtle."
