Caustic's ears flicked back as he heard the paw steps of another large animal. He kept the primate between his fore legs as he stood, squaring his shoulders and making himself look larger. His jaw opened, letting the gas come out in a plume of green. Green eyes locked onto the other creature, glancing to the leaf around its face.
If his gas actually worked, no mere leaf would have protected them from Caustic's poison. This creature didn't know of Caustic's ineffective gas, and he planned to keep it that way. The gas clouding from his mouth, a visual warning to anyone who dared to prey on him.
Caustic's eyes narrowed at the beast, face hardening into a serious frown. He sniffed, noticing the outsider's scent and letting his ears lean back. The wolf's tail raised, posing himself as a threat. "It would be wise for you to keep your distance."
