Everything stays, right where you left it.
But it still changes, ever so slightly, daily and nightly.
Aurum noticed the faint frustration that was beginning to get quite the grip on Kaito as he took out the younger male's cruiser. A faint, small part of him almost wanted to throw the game, hush so that he could get Kaito back to that smiling and confident earlier self. That was the part of the lion that was father to Roy, who always enjoyed making the boy smile and perhaps throwing one or two things just so that the tiger would feel happy. Still, it wasn't as if he could throw the game in his current position, so he just nodded before speaking, "Hmm... D1?" The lion was so focused on the game before him that he nearly didn't notice Kaito's odd reaction to his comment about eyes... nearly, anyways. However, the angel was observant, and he noticed the way that Kaito's eyes seemed to gain a faint, far off and panicked look to them. The proxy immediately frowned at this, growing worried he had said something wrong. He opened his muzzle, intent on somehow breaking the tension that had suddenly formed between the pair of them, but Kaito was already forcing on a smiling face, reminding Aurum uncomfortably of Feza when she was attempting to forcibly cover something up. Part of the lion wanted to drop the subject, just so that he wouldn't make Kaito anymore uncomfortable. But also... it seemed important that they addressed it, considering the way that the feline was fidgeting, stressed and confused by such an offhanded comment. Flicking an ear, Aurum mumbled as he shook his head, "I wasn't... I wasn't trying to throw you off your game with a joke, Kaito. I was just making an innocent comment... a serious one. Your eyes look blue and red. Are you... alright?" He was starting to put on his soft and concerned voice, the fatherly one that he often used when Roy had night terrors, or in situations like when Sam had returned home and had been panicking.
