i was born, on the highway, in a train wreck
with a heart, that was beating, out of my chest
The exaggerated expression upon Kaito's face was enough to draw a laugh from deep in Aurum's chest, the proxy shaking his head a bit as he chuckled. He would've been disappointed that he wasn't winning, but it wasn't as if the stakes were life and death, and it was proving to be a rather enjoyable game. Glancing over his board, the male let out a little exasperated chuff before nodding, "Ah... yes, that's a hit. I suppose that means you go again?" As his one blue eye moved up to observe Kaito, Aurum's head tilted to one side, seeming thoughtful before he continued speaking, "And I suppose games like these could be good for me as well... I may not be a magician of any kind, but one day I will be in charge of Tanglewood... and it's best to know how to keep things close to your chest when you could have enemies looking to hurt your group." Aurum very much hoped that by the time he was General, they wouldn't have enthusiastic enemies looking to beat down their doors, but it never hurt to be prepared.
