[font=trebuchet ms]Nemhain had beaten her to a newcomer once again. Rin supposed it wasn't entirely surprising that her persona would be so prolific- if Nemhain had inherited anything from her origin, a penchant for wandering and patrolling would probably be the first to make an appearance. Still, Rin couldn't afford to laze around herself; no one would accept the fact that part of her technically was showing up to greet joiners as an excuse for her not appearing in person.
Finnloch sounded vaguely familiar, but that could probably be chalked up to word-of-mouth- Rin didn't think they'd ever met. Her mention of being from Sunhaven supported that explanation further, as Rin had had little to do with Sunhaven prior to the merge. Rin arrived at the scene as the question arose of who was in charge, and dipped her head in agreement to Nemhain's answer. "That would be me, yes," she confirmed. "Just 'Rin' is fine."
As Finnloch described being medically- and historically-inclined, Rin twitched her ears. Having a scribe would be useful indeed. "I think that's a good idea," she remarked. Nemhain's comment about the recent events being "exciting" didn't elicit a comment from Rin- "exciting" wasn't exactly inaccurate, although perhaps not the word Rin would use. Either way, she could explain the details later.
Examining Finnloch more closely, Rin quirked a brow. She looked almost as though she'd been crying, although allergies could also be to blame, especially with the library having been so dusty for the past few months. In either case, having company might help, if Finnloch was up for it. "Do you need any further assistance with cleaning the library?" Rin asked, tugging at her scarf. "It's a lot of ground to cover for one creature."
