i was born, on the highway, in a train wreck
with a heart, that was beating, out of my chest
When Kaito's eyes flicked across the slightly messy bandages that covered his chest... well, Aurum tried his best not to wince. He was fone, really. It wasn't that bad of a wound, and it didn't need that much fussing over. Sure, it ached a bit, and the whole scene after it had first happened had been pretty fucking scary, but he was doing better now... he didn't need help. Forcing a smile onto his muzzle, the lion shook his head before rumbling softly, his voice warm even through the grogginess that pulled at his fur, "Ah... I'm alright. This is far from the first time I've been injured... not to mention everyone I've already got fussing over me. Roy is a mess after everything that happened, not to mention Selby's visits..." He looked down at the ground thoughtfully for a moment before shaking his head, a soft chuckle leaving him. He looked up again when a game was placed in front of him, blinking at the name of it. Battleship. As he listened to the rules Kaito laid out Aurum noted that it sounded like a war game, albeit quite the simple one. Reaching out with large paws, the proxy pulled his pieces towards him, saying as he surveyed the board full of possible places to put them, "I see... I'm assuming this is supposed to be some kind of psychological game, to not let your opponent figure out where your ships are?" He had played games similar to this back when he had been a cub and he and Poet needed something to do together, but they were hardly this advanced, and usually just involved sketching lines and symbols in the dirt.
