[align=center][div style="width:70%; text-align: justify; padding: 1px; font-family: helvetica;"]Parties were fun. Marlon...was not.
A natural wallflower, he preferred to sit out high-energy events. He wasn't shy, per se, just...his conversation skills could be messy at times. And Marlon doubted it was fun to talk to someone who looked like they've swallowed something bitter. However, he also knew that he would never get better at conversing if he didn't actually try.
Which was why he was currently hovering near the entrance, azure eyes flickering from animal to animal. They all seemed to belong to the same group, judging from the weak scents he was picking up. They all knew Redvox (he supposed that was a given; who wouldn't know the leader of the group that was hosting you?) and they seemed pleasant enough.
"Hello," Marlon spoke after some time, offering up a weak smile that quickly fell back to a blank expression. Small talk, he could do that. "Thank you for coming, I—A pleasure to meet you all, name's Marlon," he inclined his head in greeting. If his attempt fell flat, he could always...make a cool departure. Say something like 'oh boy. I ought to check the desserts,' and book it.
Actually, that sounded like a smart idea. Good job him. "Hope you all enjoy the party, um. Bye." With that, Marlon shuffled inside, making a bee-line towards the food. Accosting some strangers at the entrance seemed like a mistake. He'd wait until others trickled in and got comfortable before forcing them to converse with him.
