[font=trebuchet ms]Rin had made plans to watch the coast that night for potential threats, so she would have to get patrols out of the way before then.
She couldn't patrol the border at the same pace she normally did- though her ribs had healed for the most part, they were still tender, as previously-broken bones tended to be. Thus, she had taken to walking, at a moderate pace. The borders had been relatively quiet, at least up until now.
A bark- actually, repeated barks- rang out, and out of the corner of her eye she spotted a canine launching himself repeatedly at a tree. He was small, but he was still unfamiliar. Quirking a brow, Rin cautiously approached him, examining him as she grew closer. He was, by all accounts, an average domestic dog, and a pup at that.
"Anything interesting up there?" she asked, glancing up at the branches. She couldn't see anything that would catch his attention, but perhaps he knew something she didn't. Shaking her head, she looked back at the pup and continued, "This is Elysium territory. What's your name?"
