Sunny Days - RB Graveyard - 12-29-2019 Sunlight streamed down as the it shifted downward in the afternoon. It was a hot day, unusual since it was winter, but nonetheless Wheatley soaked in every bit of the sun's rays. It warmed his pinks skin, his fur gleaming from a fresh clean. Wheatley padded clumsily over top the small tree, his tongue stuck out as he panted. His big brown and green eyes looked excitedly around the borders, his ears flopping around as he launched his body like a frisbee towards a tree to try to climb over it. He skidded down the tree, his grey claws scratching against the bark as he fell. Wheatley landed on his rump with a huff, the pup stood up and shook himself off. He launched himself again, this time a little too upward than right at the tree. The small bag of fur and bones fell to the ground again and he let out a bark of annoyance. I will climb over this tree, he thought. I have to! He jumped, fell, barked and jumped again. A persistent little mongrel if anything. Re: Sunny Days - Warringkingdoms - 12-31-2019 Rin had made plans to watch the coast that night for potential threats, so she would have to get patrols out of the way before then. She couldn't patrol the border at the same pace she normally did- though her ribs had healed for the most part, they were still tender, as previously-broken bones tended to be. Thus, she had taken to walking, at a moderate pace. The borders had been relatively quiet, at least up until now. A bark- actually, repeated barks- rang out, and out of the corner of her eye she spotted a canine launching himself repeatedly at a tree. He was small, but he was still unfamiliar. Quirking a brow, Rin cautiously approached him, examining him as she grew closer. He was, by all accounts, an average domestic dog, and a pup at that. "Anything interesting up there?" she asked, glancing up at the branches. She couldn't see anything that would catch his attention, but perhaps he knew something she didn't. Shaking her head, she looked back at the pup and continued, "This is Elysium territory. What's your name?" Re: Sunny Days - RB Graveyard - 01-17-2020 Wheatley jumped one more time before the sound of someones voice made his heart jump, he whipped around and saw a feline figure no bigger than himself. A smile ran across his face as he greet them. "Hello there!" Maybe they wouldn't try to get rid of them, he sat up straight and let the smile stay. "Well im tryin 't get up 'is log to see where 'a heck i is," he barked. Being a pup had its perks...exemplary speech was not one of them. The feline almost instantly answered his previous question. Elysium? Huh, thats a weird name. Whealtey's ears perked up and his thin tail wagged hard. "My name is Wheatley!" He jumped around a bit and his ears flopped around as he smiled big. "Do you have name, whats name?" Re: Sunny Days - candorosa - 01-17-2020 [div style="width:70%; text-align: justify; padding: 1px; font-family: helvetica;"]Lemy's hearing was still shot, meaning he hadn't been privy to the series of barks Wheatley had released. Mere coincidence carried him along until he stumbled across Rin and Wheatley. He watched as Wheatley spoke, silently imitating the movements of his mouth. No good. Reading lips was a no-go then. He ground his teeth together in frustration. The pup seemed excited which was a good sign, he supposed. Lemy shuffled closer, ignoring the way his wounds ached with his movements. "Can't hear ya right now so I dunno what you just said, buuut, I don't think I've seen ya before," he said, waving a paw in the pup's general direction. He snuck a quick glance at Rin to gauge her expression then turned back to Wheatley. "Do ya live here? You lost? Aren't ya cold? Nod 'yes' or shake your head 'no' to answer, please!" He'd have to search for a better way to communicate while his hearing returned. This would have to do for now, though. She couldn’t believe her nose. Months she had waited. Holding onto the belief that her siblings were going to find her. [sub][W]isker[/sub]But time had made her wary, she never lost faith but she had sadly accepted the reality she was alone. This caused her to seek companionship in herbs and healing. No longer belonging to her little pack of brothers and sisters but loosely belonging to Elysium. So when she smelled him she froze. Eyes wide and heart thundering her special little nose would inhale and twitch. It was him! Or one of them! Her tail began to whirl and whip her hips in pure elation. Her clumsy paws would scramble to the scent, following it. Nearly tripping over herself in excitement. “Brother! Brother!”, she would cry out, eyes stinging with joy, “brother you’re here.” She was crying, hot little tears streaming down her cheeks as she smiled. “Wheatley!”, she cried out when she realized who. Running over she would crash into him and nuzzle him. Covering the boy in kissed whether he wanted to or not. Re: Sunny Days - RB Graveyard - 01-17-2020 The man that somewhat towered over the small pup, but still his smile remained. He repeated himself in a much louder tone. "I said 'm names Wheatley!!" His ears flattened a bit when he yeled; hurting his own eardrums. "I was tryin 't get the log 't see where i was!!" Wheatley's name being called out made his heard turn, the site of his older sister made the smile grow wider. "Honey," he yelled out. Yes, he was in the middle of a conversation but he didnt care; his sister was running towards him full speed. "Yeah 'm here!! And i wanna be 'ere to stay!" Honey kissed him and he tried to pull away but she had pushed him over as she finally bull dozed him after running. This is was nice; finally meeting up with his sister. "There anyone else 'ere?" Wheatley was a fitting name for the young pup, at least as far as she could tell. He seemed the innocent, potentially naive type. "Hello," Rin answered, twitching her ears. "Yes, I do. I'm Rin." As Wheatley repeated himself more loudly to answer Lemy, she shook her head. "His hearing's gone for the moment. He won't be able to hear you no matter how loudly you answer- save your voice." At Honey's teary-eyed approach, Rin stepped back a bit to allow the two some space. To her knowledge, she had never had any biological siblings, but she could still understand the relief of reuniting with them. "Well, of course you can stay," she said, tugging at her scarf. "I can show you to either the mountain camp or the sea town." Wheatley hugged his sister tight, and then turned to Rin. The pup jumped up and down, his pink underbelly barely hitting the ground and he landed. As she tugged at her scarf, the boy smiled big; tongue lolling out. "I love 'ur scarf." That was his way of thanking Rin for letting him stay with his sister. Wheatley sat down beside Honey and with a shuffle of his paws he gave a small yip. "The Mountain 'amp sound pretty cool!" He turned to his sister. "Wanna come 'ith me?" Lemy refrained from snorting, faint amusement tugging at his lips. As much as his current situation pissed him off, there was something funny about being yelled at like he was an aging elder losing his hearing. (Though, being ignored took a bit of the fun out of it.) It wasn't far from the truth anyways, given his actual age. He almost flinched when Honey came barreling out. Shit. He ought to pay more attention. He watched the reunion with a feeling akin to awkwardness. Man, he felt like a third wheel. Were they siblings? He assumed they were. Good for them, he supposed. It must be nice to have family you could smile at. "You two must be lucky," Lemy hummed, tilting his head at the siblings. Most folks never did see their family after being separated. What a fun coincidence. Oh well. He wouldn't elaborate further, no need to piss on their parade. He guessed the kid was staying, which meant Rin would probably give him a tour. He wouldn't be much help then. He wouldn't be able to carry a conversation and so what was the point? With a sigh, he turned on his heel and waved goodbye with his tail. "Have fun kids! Don't get lost in the woods again, 'kay?" And with that, he left. Re: Sunny Days - Warringkingdoms - 01-24-2020 He liked the scarf, huh? The tattered old piece of fabric... certainly had its charm, she supposed. She cared more about its utility than anything else, but if Wheatley could appreciate it, more power to him. "...It's saved my life a few times," she said after a few moments, with a slight twitch at the corners of her mouth. It helped that in both cases, her opponent hadn't stopped to think about whether or not their fangs could pierce through multiple layers of fabric, but that didn't diminish the scarf's usefulness. As Wheatley voiced his excitement about the mountain camp, Rin nodded. Watching Lemy leave, she narrowed her eyes. She probably should have dragged him to the mountain camp with them so he would rest, but... it wasn't worth the effort right now. He'd just end up stumbling out of camp a few minutes later. As long as he showed up to checkups, she'd let it go. With a shrug, Rin turned around to face the mountain, and started walking. "Follow me." |
