Aurum could certainly relate to the feeling of not quite knowing where you stood with someone, particularly when it came to things like love. In a similar situation to that of Moth and Selby, the lion had frantically confessed his feelings to Crowley, devastated when he saw the other injured by the demons that had come after him. However, due to the amount of pain that Crowley had been in, along with the frantic nature of the surrounding events, the other male hadn't even remember Aurum's words, which had been both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it meant that the Captain didn't truly need to examine his feelings up close immediately, but also a curse because it meant that he was back to square one, and forced to pine away listlessly, not even sure if he was really in love or not. At least in the case of Moth and Selby, they had both actually acknowledged their feelings and confessed, even if they didn't quite know what they were yet. In the case of Aurum and Crowley, it was more like the both of them were carefully dodging around the subject, shoving down their feelings and trying not to make things awkward between them... Aurum knew that eventually one of them would have to make some kind of move, but he didn't exactly feel confident about it right now.

Aurum's thoughts were torn away from his tornado of a romantic life when Moth opened the door, smiling happily and agreeing to hang out with him. The lion felt a warm glow of delight at her agreement, and he flicked his tail at her before rumbling softly, "Great! You mind if we walk and talk? We haven't really gotten a chance to talk one on one in a while." Truthfully, the last time he could remember that they had spoken just the two of them was way back when Poetking had fled Tanglewood, and had left both of them depressed and feeling betrayed. At that time, they had turned to each other for comfort and companionship with the absence of the other lion, and that had eventually led to their now very familial relationship. It was really one of the only things that Aurum could thank his brother for, since he didn't know where he would be now without Moth's support. Still, with the both of them being very busy members of the group, with duties to attend to as well as others to worry about, it wasn't often that he could just go over to her house, or vice versa. That was why the thought of just going on a walk with her and idly chatting was so exciting to Aurum, even if it was a relatively mundane thing to do with someone. He could do with some mundane stuff these days, considering all the activity that had begun to take place with Leroy's ascent to power and his promotion to Captain of the Guard.
