THEY SAY THAT I AM THE SICK BOY
EASY TO SAY WHEN YOU DON'T TAKE THE RISK, BOY
For the first time in a long while, Fourth was comfortable. It had taken such a long time for the Pitt to become a place that could sustain any kind of social life, not just because of the sheer lack of people at one point, but because the members were so different from one another that there was no real sense of comraderie or trust among the members. And this had made this extremely frustrating for a social monster like Fourthwall, who was constantly craving the company of others and the sound of voices. He wasn't built for solitude or a lonely life, and the realization that he hadn't actually sat back and spoke to someone since Jervis had come by his place all those weeks back was one he desperately tried to push out of his mind. There was no point in being tormented by the past when the present and future had so much more to offer. That's what he'd always told himself, and he wasn't going to start believing otherwise now.
As Vox spoke and was responded to by an unexpected voice, "That's good to hear, Redvox." Fourth would lift his chin to find Argus in the tree above. His lips would tug upward into a smirk of amusement as he realized the dragon had been listening in the entire time, but he wasn't put off by it. If someone else wanted to join in on their pointless convo that was more than fine by Fourth. One more and it would be a straight up party compared to what he'd been given in the weeks prior.
"Yeah, some people can't make it in a place like this, but those people usually don't give it a fair try to begin with. Every group has their monsters, we just don't condemn ours to hiding in the shadows." the canine would say with a shrug. From where he stood, that was the truth of it. More people than you could imagine had darker aspects to their personalities that they were forced to repress or ignore, sometimes to the point where it drove them insane. They went their whole lives wanting something they could never have- and why? Because it was inconvenient to someone else? Cruel? Evil? Those were stupid reasons to seal a part of yourself away. To deny yourself.
Of course, there had to be limits to the madness, a cap to balance things out. Things like 'no rape, no harming children. no torturing the pregnant'. Common curteosys that even the 'evil' were expected to respect and uphold, because underneath the savagry and apathy were people. Mothers and Fathers, Siblings, Best Friends. A community of like minded people who put their own first at any cost. So who was Fourth to condemn them, or anyone else who couldn't understand it? He was glad that Redvox hadn't. The gat was pretty interesting and super active, and even if he wasn't exactly on board with the darker side of things here, he did wonders for the community portion of things. People like Aine, Kydobi, Argus, and even Fourth himself still needed friendly people to be around. It wasn't doom and gloom all the time.
"Yeah, the treehouses are pretty badass. I spend a lot of time up in the trees anyways so it's pretty convenient." the hybrid would say thoughtfully.
