And if it ends far from our favor then I will end with it. But I am not without cause, they are a few people here my heart has grown fond for and I find myself needing to protect my home. In many ways, what I find comfort and safety in is being threatened to be swept away by others. Taken from me."

But not the consolation and reassurance he desired
"But I refuse to let them take from me. I have few things to lose but it makes the loss all more greater. Few things that I cannot replace. So I'm doing my best to make sure we win. And when we do I will do my best to make sure that those who live among me are safe from those who would kill them just because of the scent on their pelt."
He stood up and took a step forward, "Can you say the same? Or are you going to keep using the dead as an excuse to allow people to destroy where we live."
It finally dawned on him that Bai Shi may not feel for him anymore. Because of Idyll, he was convinced, not his inability to confirm the mutual feelings.
He snorted, "I don't think I'll let you kill Jervis. For the sake of familiarity. You strike him down, who knows who takes lead next. Fourthwall? Me? I will not fight for a throne but the fact I ever attained it is enough for a Challenger to rid themselves of a threat. And what if the brute that assumes the throne is far worse than Jervis?" his words were spoken with an growl. his next were spoken out of hurt. He wanted to sob and scream all at once. A flurry of emotions were building up and spilling out all at once. Or were they just trying to hurt him?
"if you plan on betraying us then leave now. I won't allow you to harm my happiness. Leave Bai Shi, I won't tell Jervis yet. I don't want him to make an example out you, he did it once who knows what he'll do the second time coming." it would hu
