some time ago, august hadn't been entirely so accepting of their fate with the pitt. an unruly pup to tame after departing his mother, august had ben a fighter from the start. it was only until they no longer felt entertained by his antics, when he began to grow into his teeth and bite, that they began to crack down on him. it was fruitless at first. taking the punishments head on if it meant it gave courage to the other slaves but...
one by one they all left him behind. people were getting hurt for associating themselves with the terrier. began to avoid him. calling him foolish for thinking they could overturn the slavers, especially when jervis rose to reign over them. it was unknown who was worse: stryker or jervis...
now he simply did as told. it was an improvement many saw in him for succumbing to his situation. the dice rolled for his life were not in control as he had once thought. a pity, as the younger self of august perhaps would have been a better view for kydobi to see instead of the obedient dog now.
"it's been forever since i've had a good swim. is there anything in the jungle we can go find for that? i can catch fish for you, too. not very known, but i'm a pretty good sushi chef." he joked with a cheesy grin, already leaning in the direction to leave camp. "who knows! maybe we'll find something weird in there. like pufferfish. those things are gross."
