Dove returned the smile easily, a pleasant feeling blossoming in her chest. Though she had really just met Idyllfields, she felt strongly about them. She could sense they possessed a heart of gold and a will to do good things. The healer was everything Dovedeparture hoped to be. Selfless. Kind. Gentle. Angelic.

The last factor was an odd thing to crave considering she was, by technicality, an angel. However, that was one thing she was beginning to doubt. She had fallen, and her status rested on unsteady ground. The title of angel was only half-true, wasn't it?

The lynx was pulled easily from the swirling thoughts by Idyll's voice. "Oh, hard choices sound like no fun," the girl chuckled, maintaining her porcelain smile. Difficult decisions produced torrents of emotions - most of them draining. Or so she had been told.

The creature glanced through the contract swiftly, absorbing the words with heightened curiosity. She made sure to listen carefully to Idyllfields's words. They had once called another place home? That thought sat strangely with Dove, for she assumed they had always called this place home. She simply added that to the list of reasons she felt connected to the coyote. "Two years," she echoed, a tiny frown tugging at the corner of her lips, "that is... a long time to be estranged."

Dovedeparture listened and watched as Idyll's emotion and event speech shifted. A somberness washed over them, and the guardian felt strange pangs of (what she guessed to be) empathetic sadness rushing through her. At the mention of needing advice, the lynx drew her wings nearer. She was so used to only counseling Celestialrobbery that it surprised her. "Of course," she breathed at last. Another emotion formed inside of her. She could not articulate what it was, but she felt... glad that someone needed her.

"Two years is a lot of time to be separated, as I said," she began, "which poses the question: do you believe your father to be the same man you've always looked up too - even if you only know so much?" Her words were soft and gentle. She hated to insinuate that their father's feelings had changed drastically, but time could alter even the sturdiest of emotions. She wanted them to be prepared in case things were different than they initially believed.

"Also, do you have plans in place for who might heal in your absence? If we get that squared away, it would be easier for you to take up your journey." She offered them another smile. "As for your fears on returning in a timely manner, I don't think you should worry. When you need to return to us, you'll know. Home calls to us very loudly."
