idyllfields
stars did fall
too often did idyll's planning derail out of control in some odd ways. they were so meticulous in all the minor details that the major ones seem to be overlooked accidentally. the poor irony. often times their emotions also got in the way of their decision-making, just as this one had. like dove, they had gotten attached unexpectedly. not to a specific person, but the entire typhoon. their purpose, once just an ordinary off-the-street crewmate, now up and coming to be responsible for their friends and family's health. it had completely changed their sense of surroundings. growing up they had all they had really needed. food. shelter. toys to keep them entertained and mentally active. when all of that had left them, they were unsure of where to go next. they had to grow up on their own and... wait.
life seemed to pull in so many unexpected different directions and turns. this. this was the one thing idyll hoped dearly went to plan.
their head turned up when dove came to them, a soft smile on their face in greeting. "hello, miss dove. you're not interrupting... i think i need one, in all honesty. i am trying to make a hard decision but... well, it's hard." idyll giggled. they pulled the contract back and presented it to her. "i originally came to the typhoon on accident. it was a misguided landing when i initially intended to go to crete. i have been looking for my father for almost two years now and... i finally have the chance to find him. i am just not sure what will happen."
they paused for a moment, their gaze dropping to the signature of the merchant captain at the bottom. "i plan on coming back to the typhoon, with or without him. i just... i do not know if i will have the courage to leave when appropriate. i have always idolized my father, but he is also someone i barely know. only through short letters sent every harvest and through notes he left in the books he gave me."
soft honeyed eyes returned to the angel. "would you happen to have any advice?"
