[glow=#000,1,400]BUT NOW I UNDERSTAND YOU, AND I WILL NOT BE PART OF YOUR DESIGNS — 。+゚.[/glow]
Wormwood, despite the anxious pressure of the oncoming battle that had been pressing threateningly against the back of his neck and against his spine, had thankfully been able to sleep lately. Mainly because he had been pretty much forcing himself to. After all, if he didn't get any sleep, he wouldn't be prepared for the raid, and he would get hurt and not be of much help, and that could ultimately lead to a domino effect that fucked everything up. Sure, the might've been a bit of an anxious stretch, but he couldn't help it. Everything was so overwhelming lately that his mind immediately raced to the worst case scenario, just so that if it happened he would he prepared to turn it in their favor, hopefully. He couldn't even imagine the pressure Leroy must've been feeling if he felt like this now without even being any sort of high rank. He couldn't exactly blame the guy for being a bit of a grumpy dick if his mind was always preoccupied lately with thoughts of Sam, and now Beck. After all, Wormwood was sometimes a grumpy dick without even worrying about anything important.
When Leroy emerged from his house, Worm's heart sank a little bit at first upon seeing the look on the hound's face, but then he relaxed as Leroy spoke, a soft chuckle leaving him. Settling on his haunches just a bit tiny the side of Leroy, the lion lowered his head to carefully put the bottle down, mumbling as he flicked his tail from side to side in a relaxed and friendly manner, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Hey, Leroy. You look like you've had one hell of a night. But, yeah, I did actually come here with this bottle to talk and drink with you."[/glow] He mumbled softly as he nudged the bottle with a paw, a bit of a smile coming to his muzzle, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"I figured I might as well try to get to know you, since I've been getting to know pretty much everybody around here, and I've gotta learn to trust you if you're gonna be our leader one day. You just... ya seemed like the type of guy to like a drink every once in a while, no offense."[/glow] He wouldn't have been offended, but he knew some people didn't like to seem like they could put down quite a few drinks, because they thought it was inappropriate somehow.
Wormwood had come to see most of the members of Tanglewood as family already these days, and Leroy was one of the few that still eluded him somewhat. He had a vague idea of what the male was like, and even liked his personality in group settings – he did put on a pretty good bonfire, he would say – but he figured there was no better way to get to know someone then to just kinda sit around drinking and asking each other questions, maybe venting to each other a little bit over the stress that the entire group was under at the moment. The lion knew some people had qualms over venting about things openly, but he much preferred to just get things out in the open and acknowledge how fucked up they were.
