Wormwood very often had a habit of forgetting just how large he was compared to certain creatures. For years now, he had been in a pride of lions that had all been vaguely around the same size of him, with only a few of them being a little smaller or larger than him. So now that he was in a group where pretty much any sentient animal could join, he very often forgot how absolutely terrifying that he could be to certain smaller creatures. He had been sharply reminded of that when Bink had ended up showing up to the group, and the moment he had seen Worm he had almost had a heart attack on the spot. Wormwood had felt sort of bad when he had seen fear in the tiny crow's eyes, and he had immediately stepped back when he was told to, to give the guy a little space to breathe and get his head injured treated.
So now, when the crow ended up calling out to meet people, Wormwood had hesitated a bit before finally getting up to his feet and coming over. He stayed a few feet away from the bird, not wanting him to get all freaked out again like last time. Now that he knew that Bink was sentient and not just some sort of injured bird that would make easy prey for eating, he had no intention of hurting the little guy, at least not intentionally.
He held no responsibility if for some reason Bink went firebombing under his paws while he was walking, but he somehow doubted that he would ever do that.
The large lion slowly rolled his shoulders as he thought about what Bink had said, a slow thoughtful rumble leaving him. This guy still didn't remember his name, huh? Well that wouldn't do if Bink wanted to meet everybody. Er, well, mostly everybody. What exactly were they supposed to call him? Just bird? That wasn't very polite. He could think of something slightly better than that, if only slightly better. A soft friendly smile coming to his muzzle, the lion rumbled softly, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Hello there, little bird. Sorry I frightened you when.you first arrived. I didn't mean to. If you haven't remembered your name yet, perhaps you should come up with a new one? Maybe Avis? It just means bird in Latin. It's pretty simple, but it's fitting. My name is Wormwood, by the way."[/glow]
