Various categories lined the dusty units— fiction, almanacs, and old journals just to name a few. He prided himself on variety, and he was thinking about where he would get his next title when there was a voice.
He stood up quickly in surprise, banging his head on the shelf above. "Just a second!" he called, rubbing his noggin and thinking for a moment. No one had ever come to his home for treatment before. In fact, Selby was pretty sure that 90% of Tanglewood had no idea where he lived. It was... strange.
He appeared in the front room, quickly catching the scent of blood. "Vathmos, it’s a pleasure to meet you," Selby said, trying not to let any of his strange feeling show. "You have some... bites, it looks like? Could you take a seat?" The medic ran through the things he might need, choosing not to approach until the hyena was seated. He didn’t want to alarm her.
