he had stopped at a tree, having wandered through the swamp for long enough and deciding he needed to rest before he fell unconscious. it might happen either way, he thought to himself, holding no mental barrier to hide his thoughts, not thinking any telepaths might be here. he began to wipe his large paws off on one of the many trees around him, trying to get the mud from his fur and not wanting to lick it straight off, however, this proved harder then he had initially thought it would.
"ah, damn," he began, voice hushed and gentle, "looks like i'll have to wash off later."
