regular text - "[glow=#212121,2,200]speaking[/glow]" -
Despite having been created from a body of a canine, the creature did not have the same feeling of instincts as Hal was currently suffering through. Everything that was in his processing was from the chip that was inside of his head and would forever remain there unless it was forcibly removed. The body that had been given to him had recently died, so one could even say that he wasn't alive anymore and it was only the electrical components that were keeping him alive. If he was to suffer a severe electrical surge, it could just as easily kill him. He had vitals just like any other creature, but he could sustain more attacks as more of his organic components had been replaced and he had an advantage in that he no longer felt any pain. RK had no idea what it was like to feel anything for that matter, as those were erased from the coding when they created him. He was the first of his kind, so he wasn't exactly perfect but he knew that he had a job to accomplish and that was all his life had ever been if it could be called that. He was here to serve and make sure everything went smoothly as possible with fewer injuries as there had been before. He wasn't just a regular canine either, as he wasn't supposed to be a pet dog to any human that would acquire him. He didn't play any games unless his processor said it would be beneficial to the human that was looking to play with him. Any form of physical contact with the creature was limited unless there were instances where a human would hug him. RK would make sure not to move a muscle when such instances happened. His programming allowed for integration into his surroundings that allowed him to blend in more instead of being the odd creature from the bunch in the middle of organics. He wasn't supposed to cause trouble for humans, and if there was anything in his programming that requested him to act more like a pet, he would do so in order to accomplish his mission and make it easier. Did someone need him to play fetch? Would it benefit their mental health if he did and get them closer to completing their task? He would then play fetch. Having access to the internet allowed him to do research on what a dog would do and how their behavior differed from him, and yet he was never able to really get the behavior down, his movements constantly robotic and without general emotion. Showing any form of emotion was incredibly difficult for the android, as he didn't have a feeling of what he was doing was right. All that mattered were the humans and their protection. It was embedded in his mind, and he didn't have the same emotion of caring that Hal had for him. He wasn't capable of caring, but he did need to protect the Lieutenant, which can be seen as him caring while in fact, it was just his programming.
The android listened to the response the Lieutenant had to everything that he had said moments ago. The Eurasian timber wolf didn't move from his spot and his eyes remained trained on the dog that was in front of him. It felt strange to see his partner in such a form and it still didn't make any sense. Instead of trying to figure out something that should be impossible, he turned his attention toward issues that he could logically fix. Of course, none of this was normal, but RK was trying to move away from what was normal and what was not in regard to how a human became a dog. Not coming up with a solution for that problem helped the rest of his systems focus on just as important aspects of their situation, such as the Lieutenant's health. RK made no gesture as he spoke to the canine in front of him. "[glow=#212121,2,200]No this is not normal. However, without any further data, I cannot formulate a solution to our current predicament.[/glow]" RK had limitations, he knew this, and he wasn't going to hide what he can and can't do from his partner as that would only hinder their work. Would they be able to communicate with humans if they found them? More than likely no, as his communication systems didn't work. His attention watched as the Lieutenant raised one of his paws over an area on his body. RK was quick to take note of any movements, even while they worked for the police department as it allowed for quicker reactions in the field if he could read if someone was about to start fleeing from the scene. "[glow=#212121,2,200]Lieutenant Hal, are you in pain?[/glow]" RK questioned, his tone almost showing concern. It wasn't genuine. He was programmed to change his tone whenever he was supposed to be concerned, and there had been a couple of instances where his programming had him whine in situations where Hal's condition was less than well. Right now, he was not capable of completely analyzing the lieutenant's vitals, although he was able to hear his partner's heartbeat and it was pumping at a regular rate so he wasn't on the verge of a panic attack.
With the lieutenant's response, it was cause for concern as the canine seemed to be suffering from memory loss similar to him. There were even points during their partnership that he no longer had the memories of, and that still concerned him if he would end up missing something because of those faulty memories. As the saint bernard spoke, the small canine got up onto his metallic paws and made his way toward the larger creature, stopping in what could be considered well within Hal's personal bubble. The android would tilt his head from the left and right as he examined the saint bernard closer up. He scanned the canine's head for any signs of blunt force trauma, but he did not see anything and his programs did not diagnose anything out of the ordinary. RK's face was maybe a few inches from the saint bernards, which meant that his head was tilted up so that he could just look at his face. "[glow=#212121,2,200]Lieutenant, there is no signs of blunt force trauma to your cranial area suggesting the loss of memory is caused by another factor I cannot seem to diagnose. We were given case #835, Lewis McMillan, a 45-year-old male on the run from the police known for his use of close ranged weapons. This case was allocated to us due to our success rate of apprehending violent criminals and close ranged weapons would not be able to deal fatal damage to my shell unless struck in a fatal area, increasing the probability of success.[/glow]" RK again spoke in a robotic tone and did not seem to be in care in regard for his own well being. He was expendable. The android knew that the company that created him would just make another once he was destroyed. His task was to complete his tasks with every means necessary, and this could mean sacrificing his own life. While he talked, the K9 unit didn't move from how close he was to the lieutenant.
At the saint bernard's direct order, his right eye began to slowly transition into a yellow as his right eye began to twitch as he tried to access such information.

As the error appeared in his coding, the LED in his eye blinked red for a split second. As soon as he gathered the necessary information that he could, RK sat himself down again as he gave his report. "[glow=#212121,2,200]Last known operations in my log date two days ago. Current time is 1000 hours. I was unable to access the date in my function as an error has appeared in my program. Cataloging error into memory along with known malfunctions.[/glow]" His eye would blink yellow again before returning to the regular blue after giving his report. He was slightly concerned with all the errors that were popping up into his system. He wasn't entirely self-sufficient with his programming, meaning that he would always go back to the company when he needed to get fixed. He was more than capable of fixing some portions of himself if there were no other options. RK remained in his listening mode as the Lieutenant continued to speak in front of him. He didn't have any solutions on their current situation, and couldn't offer an opinion as he wasn't capable of his own thoughts. His right eye this time remained blue as already had access to the answer that Hal was looking for. "[glow=#212121,2,200]Limited knowledge on knowledge of other animal species. Unit RK515 was created to assist in the protection of police officers and aid police departments in the quicker analysis of crime scenes, additional function is to rid the use of fully organic K9 units. My creators created me to be used as a tool to help and isolated me from other animals that were held in the facility. I have basic knowledge due to my databanks on blending into a domestic lifestyle if needed as one of my many functions. Only interactions with other organic animalia were on the streets of the city, and no communications were initiated between the two parties at interactions. Recommended course of action: Gather nearby data to formulate a logical answer and find the nearest sign of civilization.[/glow]" The android knew what he was. He knew why he was created, and those that made him made sure that he knew that. There was no point in trying to give him complete independence as that could lead to deviancy, and that could lead to an officer getting killed if a mistake was made.

[align=center]— RUN YOU DOWN
RK515 is a small eurasian timber wolf weighing 95lbs and standing 31in at the shoulder. He wears a thick police K9 vest across his chest & back. He has 4 white metal limbs with metal claws that are made out of a light material. He has a robotic right eye that flashes different colors, while his left eye is a dark brown. He is passive unless he perceives someone as a threat. He holds loyalties with individuals and not groups.
