Gael snorted. An only semi-humorous sound. He regarded the other vulpine thoughtfully, albeit with an almost absent flair to his measuring gaze. He hardly wanted his cousin to believe he had the upper hand in any mind games. Still a pirate. Yes. The faerie never expected that to change. "Agus do dheartháir?" While Kian had gone down that route for different reasons, Gael imagined he still remained the same; once a pirate, always a pirate. If that's the case, no surprises from the twins.
However, the male had to blink in bemusement at least once. "Do chaptaen?" That could not be right. "Leanann tú duine eile anois?" Honestly, he found that hard to believe. The vulpine shifted his weight, a frown marking his maw. Suspicion clouded his mind, concerned more was at play than he had assumed.
Now he possessed some intriguing facts. Useless, he supposed, to anyone else among his newfound clan. Gael did not know anyone in the region to care about any strange behavior among the Ó Faoláin family. The only blood connections the royal family had outside of their direct line were the Ó Broins, as far as he was aware.
"Ní bheidh mé ag cur bac ortsa," he clicked, seemingly returning his semi-amused state. "Ach ní bheidh aon leisce orm, col ceathrar ... Má tá mo iníon i mbaol..." a storm flashed in his eyes, promising only pain and destruction. If his cousin and his friends wanted battle... He'd give them a war.
"Ar ndóigh, ní fheicim aon chúis le feud teaghlaigh ach oiread. Déanann tú cara níos fearr ansin namhaid." To this end, he quirked a brow, curious. Gael knew possessing a friend in the shadow prince meant an advantage against the other members of the royal family. At least in having someone in with the enemy. But he also knew it'd have to sound like Séamus' idea, or, his, so long as it sounded mutually beneficial.
He must have beef with the Pitt for some reason, and I doubt it has to do with Raziel or Kian. He wouldn't obey someone else's orders otherwise. Much less to spy. He admitted his cousin knew how to play a part, but he was terribly self-interested. He needed a valid reason to act. Unless he's decided to turn a new leaf for some reason... I doubt it.
