DESCRIPTION. mikolaj is a black sable shepherd. most of his pelt is a charcoal shade of black, running thick and slightly curled at the end along his body. there are chocolate brown markings on his body at the tips of his ears, cusped around his eyelids, and around his joints and shoulders. his build is typically muscular and brutish, and can come off as intimidating to smaller creatures.

his eyes speak for his hunger. when they are their normal hazel hue, it means he is sufficiently fed. when changed to a dark grey it means he is hungry. they become pure black when he is starving.

miko is a silent observer. he speaks little to strangers, often giving one-word answers or very curt, short responses. he intentionally comes off as unapproachable and bitter to avoid most social interaction. he doesn't like small talk and in overwhelming situations will become non-verbal. especially around copious amounts of blood. the easiest way to convince him to do something is with the promise of a feed.

given that miko tries to last months without feeding at a time this also contributes to his often grumpy behavior. he's more or less starving to prevent himself from going overboard as he had done in the past. he is constantly afraid of letting his thirst overcome him when he feeds.

to close friends he can become softer. he can crack a crude sarcastic joke once in a while and occasionally shows affection. over time he has formed the habit of protecting smaller creatures stemmed from his temporary life as a pet to a young girl. he can become very protective of those he considers close friends or 'beneficial'.
