a certain serpent would be laying in the relaxing peace of the oasis, their head down and snoozing, at least, trying to catch up on a few moments of sleep before the nightmares returned.
they opened their eyes to watch sephiroth enter the oasis and pad around, seeming to relax. their gaze followed him when he stretched along a tree and dug his claws into the bark, their gaze appreciating the strength that he carried, not the fact he left a mark in the tree. quickly turning aside their gaze, they pretended to try to go back to sleep but they found it a hard task to accomplish with the other nearby.
most nights, they couldn't sleep unless close to him or had something that smelled of him, but now it seemed that they couldn't sleep with him nearby, especially after that little show of strength on the tree. that had their mind reeling enough to almost choke. today was going to be one interesting day indeed.
