It was painfully boring the Rosebloods recently, despite war being on the near horizon the day to day activities of the group had grown stale and usual and infrequent.  The leader stayed regardless.  Any weaker creature would’ve given up and left the group to fade by now, but Sephiroth was not like others.  He was determined and strong willed, making the choice long ago to dedicate himself to the small assembly of animals he had control over.  It was better than wasting away using his strength for nothing.

But the boredom still gnawed at him.  Sephiroth found himself heading towards the oasis on impulse, still keeping his distance from the water, not taking a chance in whether or not it was still poisoned.  The male kept to the shoreline, where sparse trees with leafy tops  and thin trunks  dotted the area to provide shade.  The Pharaoh would lumber over to one of the offending trees, looking it up and down with bright and alive eyes before he stretched out his long body and hooked his claws into the bark and dragged them down with a cracking sound.  The prominent muscles in his back shifted and rippled as he marked his territory, raking his long and intimidating claws across the surface of the tree.  It was a mild release of energy, though it hardly did anything to amuse.
