However sarcastic that sounds, he looks forward to the trip. It had only been a week or so since he first joined The Ascendants and he's already beginning to feel sort of restless, like he needs to throw himself into something new. Perhaps it's just that Christmas is too close and there's too much to do. There's this drive to make it perfect and happy and worth it. In a perfect universe, the tree is well-decorated and the drinks are warm, Ambroise isn't so Grinchy and Clarence understands. There's a lot of work to be done and it may take a while — perhaps more than he can put in this year, but he finds that he's willing to wait. At least he can say that he's a patient person. With some people, that became a bit of a necessity. Hopefully this group wouldn't further grate at his nerves.

That's nice. Orpheus couldn't bring himself to ask for something like that here, when he's showing up with an invite, but... maybe he's tempted to. With a quiet exhale, the lion sets down the basket he had decided to bring with him, the miniature wrapped presents feeling out of place in a desert like this one. He supposes anyone would enjoy these things anyway. "Anyone around?" Orpheus calls, stretching up to look around again. "We're having a Christmas party at The Ascendants, you guys are invited." Hopefully they heard, he doesn't want to repeat himself. It'll be fine.
