Briar could feel them, as she could feel every prick that paws placed on her precious Earth. There were too many of them for her to direct them directly. They wanted to sneak with light pawsteps? Two could play the game of stealth and Briar certainly wasn't one to shy away from it. She didn't dare allow poison to spring in her wake. No, for once she had no sort of flora blooming behind her. The lioness crept near the group, quickly identifying a boy who appeared to the youngest of the group. They would help him. They would protect him. Still hidden in the undergrowth of the rainforest, she allowed the earth to reach out and soften beneath the wolf's paws, attempting to soften it enough that he'd sink and then solidify it quickly after he was down deep enough to keep him trapped in one place. As she worked, she tried to think of how to approach the rest of the group. There were too many of them for her to fight on her own but if she could delay them, perhaps more of her fellow Pittians would arrive. She could hold them off, maybe poison one or two before they slipped away, but she doubted she'd be able to do much more than that. After all, she didn't want to risk actually physically confronting them. She wasn't a fan of bloody battles and had an even greater distaste for getting any sort of injury over her perfect, golden fur. So, she stayed hidden, quietly manipulating the Earth and hoping it would understand and swallow her enemies before she had to face them.
