So he and his two Goldenbloods had come to apologize to them? Enemies was a harsh title, but Agathe saw no immediate reason to grant them neutrality. In the rare moments she had gotten to spend with him, Moon had told her every detail about the feud between their two clans- whether to prepare her for what she might one day inherit or to simply blow off steam, she did not know. Regardless, she did not take kindly to these talks of peace, even if she could sense the relatively good intention behind them. She was Agathe Asyhver, Astral Seraph of the Ascendants, she could do whatever she wanted to with this apology: even spit it right back in his face. And it'd be all for Moon, for her friend who had left them too early, too quickly.
In spite of everything, in spite of herself, Agathe just laughed.
"While your apology does not go unrecognized," She began, that cold-blooded smile widening just a touch, "Wasn't it my clan that tried to insist that we didn't need to be enemies? Wasn't it my clan that tried to talk and negotiate before you all decided it would be a fun idea to raid us? From what I've heard of the situation, you attacked Bastilleprisoner on top of taking one of our children. Should I just forgive you? Should I just pretend that what happened in the past was some slip in morals? Some poor judgement? Should I pretend that I haven't been plotting a raid in retaliation for the hell you dragged everyone in the Ascendants through? For the injuries that had to go untreated because we don't have any goddamned healers, Buckingham?" Agathe paused only to remind herself to not get too heated, to remember where she was and who she was and what was at stake.
"A miscommunication it was, but one that you all took too far. I'm not sure what you've heard about me, but I do not forgive and I certainly do not forget. The Ascendants is fine with or without you as neutrals," She paused, glancing at Atticus if only to remember to entertain all possible options, "But, because I'm suddenly feeling generous, I'll ask my clan what they want. Consider it a gift, or don't. I'm not quite sure if it'll play out in your favor yet. Expect an answer as soon as we can come to a conclusion. You're dismissed."
She nodded at Kit at that thought, turning and motioning for him to follow. She did not doubt he probably would have something to say about this whole ordeal and admittedly, sought out his council. This was quite the morning, wasn't it? Who knew leading could be this invigorating?
