Agathe's inquiry was accompanied by a slight frown, expression otherwise stony as she studied Ren intently. She hadn't enjoyed demoting him - especially considering the fact that, though she'd never admit it, she considered him a friend - but at least he seemed to be home now. She was still inquisitive though, and the metaphorical brow that was now arching up mildly conveyed that well enough. "You've missed a lot," She continued with a faint shrug, unsure of what else to say. It would appear as if she was the only one of this lot who recognized him, Atbash and Sybil too recent of joiners to have known Ren before he disappeared. A shame, she thought, though instantly regretted it. She could not become too attached to these people, not when her fate seemed to be held oh-so precariously by the gods who both hated and worshipped her.
The words of the ebony wildcat once more rose in her mind and she was forced to dismiss them, trying her best to maintain her composure lest some of that worry - genuine worry - slipped through the cracks. She was the strong, cold leader of the Ascendants and right here and right now, her duty was to welcome back somebody that she might care about. There was no time to dwell upon her own troubles. "Regardless, welcome home. If you plan on running off again, do care to share."
