CLAIM OUR RIGHTS / o, 100 posts + return - FUBUKI - 11-21-2018

/ decided to make his return thread his 100th and continue with his ooc prompt further on in the week so he has chance to settle in again cx

Even with the male's good intentions time and time again, his loyalty had been an easy thing to question given his quiet place in clan life. Of course, he hadn't made it outwardly obvious that he was a devoted follower of the star-lovers, nor had he said that he hated them and everything they stood for. The truth leaned moreso towards that first ideology, though Ren wouldn't be herded completely into a generic lifestyle he'd admit that he enjoyed the company of the Ascendants. Their move towards neutrality had troubled him more than it should've done, the place he lived in should have been one that cared about life, not be indifferent towards it, he'd needed time away to think about what that new alignment meant for the clan.

A fortnight away had taught him that if he was to abandon the group now even with their shift, he'd be no less apathetic than them. Words of leaders were one thing of course, but until their divergence showed physically, the former Guardian would let the issue settle. To most, it wasn't a big deal, the domestic cat would rather avoid being selfish out of fear he'd be no better than those he called enemies. Those same enemies were partially a reason why it'd taken Ren so long to return after deciding on his plan of action. Like when he first joined, there were clear signs of fatigue on the young male,  with various cuts and bruises appearing between strands of his unkempt fur. None were particularly deep or troubling, the Ascendant's awful cleric situation before his absence made him determined to avoid getting badly beat up.

Gliding over the borders, a slight limp in his step, the felidae would duck his head sheepishly as a bitter gust of wind attacked his face. He should've brought a coat or blanket or something as souvenir from his travels, there was no hay on these hills to protect him from the winter. Mouth gaped, too dry to let any of his typical hushed words come out, the male prepared for an isolated and uninterrupted journey back home. Once again he'd be the outcast, with thoughts of sleep on the horizon Ren couldn't form an opinion on that even if he tried. Grey eyes closing briefly as he walked, memories flashed over him. You cocky brat! Get back here!. The feline recalled his own smirk, even smiling a little as the older voice replayed in his brain the second time. I-I'm sorry... I'll get help, I'll atone, I promise.

He paused at the entrance, invisible lips pursing. Was that his mental manipulation at work? He'd discovered it recently, if the Ascendants couldn't step up and be justice bringers, maybe he could with it. "Ah," the stunted sound escaped him, ears perked to their full length as he looked around. Did he just enter the Observatory again and risk attack? Ren was sure he could handle a couple of guards and some angry grandmothers, but 'troublemaker' wasn't exactly an impression he wished to leave on the newcomers. They'd have thoughts already with a stranger walking right up to their front door. Sitting down like a housecat waiting to be let back inside by its owners, Ren even contemplating pawing at the door for a minute or two, he decided he'd wait for some company before delving deeper.

[align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 55%; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"][welcome back!]

Considering the pitch-colored wild cat had joined only yesterday, she hadn't the slightest clue as to who Ren was. The stench of the Ascendants was intertwined in his fur despite the fact that it was slowing ebbing. If she had to guess, he had roamed these grounds once before. His mannerisms hinted at that as well; he moved as though he had traipsed the area countless times. It was amusing how muscle memory took control for even the simplest of things. Sybil wondered if she would ever gain that ability.

The panther crept from her hiding position in the shadows to face Ren. Her cloudy eyes studied him thoroughly. She had noticed his awkward movements, but it seemed he was not severely injured. She supposed that was good.

Without speaking, she nodded her head and then shifted her body, turning so as to wait for someone alongside him. While most everyone else would speak to new arrivals, Sybil saw no point in using her voice. Not yet anyway.

Re: CLAIM OUR RIGHTS / o, 100 posts + return - ATBASH CIPHER. - 11-25-2018

ATBASH CIPHER
somebody make me alive,
and shatter me !
It wasn't a surprise that Atbash didn't really know Ren either, considering she just joined as well. The former leader was, admittedly, still getting used to life in The Ascendants. Due to only having one eye, the she-cat found it hard to navigate. Unlike back in Snowbound, Atbash didn't know The Ascendants's territory by heart, so she often tried learning it on her own. However, when she caught the scent of somebody unfamiliar, the savannah directed her path towards Sybil and Ren.

"Uh, hey." Atbash spoke for Sybil, a soft smile on her face as she blinked at Ren. "What brings you to The Ascendants?"

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; color;"]"Where'd you run off to?"

Agathe's inquiry was accompanied by a slight frown, expression otherwise stony as she studied Ren intently. She hadn't enjoyed demoting him - especially considering the fact that, though she'd never admit it, she considered him a friend - but at least he seemed to be home now. She was still inquisitive though, and the metaphorical brow that was now arching up mildly conveyed that well enough. "You've missed a lot," She continued with a faint shrug, unsure of what else to say. It would appear as if she was the only one of this lot who recognized him, Atbash and Sybil too recent of joiners to have known Ren before he disappeared. A shame, she thought, though instantly regretted it. She could not become too attached to these people, not when her fate seemed to be held oh-so precariously by the gods who both hated and worshipped her.

The words of the ebony wildcat once more rose in her mind and she was forced to dismiss them, trying her best to maintain her composure lest some of that worry - genuine worry - slipped through the cracks. She was the strong, cold leader of the Ascendants and right here and right now, her duty was to welcome back somebody that she might care about. There was no time to dwell upon her own troubles. "Regardless, welcome home. If you plan on running off again, do care to share."
