Like Jiyu, Goldenboy had been instinctively drawn over by the cry for help - damsels in distress were a good way to gain favor. Lithe paws pressed silently atop compact sand, emerald eyes flicking curiously between the bickering creatures as he neared. He certainly recognized some faces present - his crewmates, obviously, as well as Sephiroth. The others were unfamiliar to him, a fault of his own for being scarce in the Rosebloods the past week. The desert was far too boring to occupy him all the time and he had outsourced his entertainment for the time being, but that would be a challenge for another time. Right now it seemed he was going to have to push himself into this conversation and convince them to not kick them out, because even though it was incredibly boring watching lizards skitter over the sands it was a relatively good group for the crew to stay with. At the very least they tolerated their reckless tactics (for now).
So Vagabond had thrown a knife at this girl, who's name was Amparo. The girl was crying wolf, Goldenboy had made the rare appearance for nothing. It wasn't a situation he could be frustrated by, however, as Goldenboy had pulled similar stunts before with his crew - albeit, not after being thrust into an animal body in a strange world. It seemed others did not share his sense of humor, and instead tensions were quickly growing between Vagabond, Jiyu, and Sephiroth. And of course Rimmy was not going to make anything better. A fox at the beast's side (Who was that? Had they been there the whole time?) spoke soothing words but Goldenboy had his hesitations they would change much. Truthfully, Goldenboy sided with the Rosebloods to an extent - having knives thrown at you was bloody annoying. But when those actions translated as threats to his crewmembers, they had lost Goldenboy's favor immediately. Not that it really mattered, they hardly knew him and liked him even less he was sure. Spindly legs carried him alongside Rimmy, leaning his weight into the larger male in a silent request to be silent. Unspoken communication was, at one point, something the Golden Boy had relied on greatly - but now, even with more bodily assets such as a tail and ears, he had a harder time getting his thoughts across.
"Why don't we all calm down," Goldenboy finally spoke, taking a step forward away from the side of Rimmy. His gaze flickered across Vagabond and Rimmy, narrowing minutely as he continued to soak in the situation. Sure, he might be able to talk the Rosebloods down, but his own crewmates he knew could have a mind of their own. "Threatening each other accomplishes nothing, hm?" Groupmates, allies, kits. Groupmates were kind of a no-brainer if they wanted to remain in the Rosebloods. Allies, well, as long as they weren't caught they couldn't exactly be stopped. Even Goldenboy was guilty of that one, but that was a secret that was never going to surface. Titan's "disappearance" just happened to be a subject he was curious about, that was all. As for kits - a kit was a fox cub, wasn't it? It had to be some sort of terminology for children. The crew would never intentionally harm a child, not that these others had any reason to believe that when otherwise they destroyed anything in their way.
"Like the lad said, we aren't accustomed to these lands. These new rules, restrictions - laws." No, where they came from, they ignored all semblance of the law and did whatever they damn well pleased and there was nothing that could stop them. This land was much different than having a city at their feet to destroy and build up as they pleased. There wasn't much that Goldenboy feared here, even dragons scorching the lands with fire was less fearsome than the rattle of automatic guns and a bulletstorm chasing them down alleyways. Maybe it was just bullets in general that now made Goldenboy so fearful. God, this thoughts were straying. "Respect is earned, not deserved, and none of us here have earned such a thing with these actions." His gaze quickly flicked back toward Vagabond as he spoke, directing the message toward both the Rosebloods and his own crew. Their respect and fearsome reputation had died with them, and getting in a petty feud over it was only going to result in them getting kicked out - not them asserting their name as to not be trifled with. Despite certain opinions, respect wasn't something that could be earned with brute force alone. And if the Rosebloods wanted them gone, they wouldn't be able to fight that. They didn't have the force to fight back. "Fighting over it like mangy dogs for a scrap of meat is meaningless." Not that this all boiled down to respect, but it was an easy diversion at the least. Jiyu certainly hadn't earned their respect, and thus they were at no inclination to listen to her. Sepiroth's dry bites of punishment was another flex of unearned respect, just as was Rimmy's wry remarks about them being able to keep their words. What a dog's dinner this had become.
Finally his forest green gaze met Sephiroth, having to incline his head up to meet the lion's gaze due to his own short stature. This was not his first time staring a prideful lion in the eyes (literally), and he doubted it would be the last so long as they stayed here. "If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to speak to you privately?" Pull him away from this situation, and disperse the argument by doing such. At least, that was the goal. Hopefully the crew would follow behind him and exit the stage, go busy themselves with other trivial things. Hopefully.
