The faerie rolled back his shoulders, keen eyes darting from each prospective student in turn, nodding to Goldie, passing by 'bored' female with a snort, offering his own daughter a quick smile though she'd not see it, smirked in amusement at Maisie and her own distaste, a curious look at one he knew little of and a quick flick of his ear towards one he knew disliked him. The feeling was rather mutual, Séamus truly cared little for others in most cases, even his own brothers oft suffered his disinterest. His children however, seemed the exception.
Given the group was of a good size to start, he'd decided to get rolling. "I'll start off with the poisons, then go on from there." He gestured a talon towards the more infamous plants, wryly smiling, "this is foxglove, nightshade, yew - you may know them as death berries, holly, and, please do not touch these, poison ivy and oak."
"Most of these plants can kill you, and will if the proper care isn't provided in a timely fashion." Putting it lightly. He didn't particularly want to scare anyone, especially the younger audience, but they needed to be aware. "Symptons that one of your crewmates might have ingested nightshade - which you should never do - include giddiness, yawning, they might stagger when they walk, have trouble speaking and swallowing. If you look at their eyes, their pupils will be dilated. They might feel like they're suffocating, then eventually they'll suffer paralysis and death follows that."
"Here's some herbs you use when someone's been poisoned; yarrow, stinging nettle, and this is tannin, from the inside of an acorn."
"There's really only one way to deal with nightshade, and that's to give them yarrow and stinging nettle. Does anyone know what those herbs do?"
